But at its core Minecraft ISN'T an RPG game. Gerudoku may die, the RPG-mods in MC may cease to be updated, but MineCraft will carry on because it isn't an RPG.
I said the texture pack gave minecraft that special RPG feel that suits the game very well :smile.gif: Not that minecraft was an RPG game :biggrin.gif:
I prefer to support the guy that made the original RPG textures, Doku himself, rather than the remix pack. Doku has his new texture pack now, and it's also RPG styled. I choose to support that one instead.

This idea is not about the support of doku but of the pack itself, many users prefer gerudoku over dokucraft and many more could prefer a HD version of an RPG texture pack :biggrin.gif:
I dislike the idea of a 64x remake of Gerudoku. The 32x textures are what gave the pack it's retro RPG feel. Besides, there is already a 128x remake of Gerudoku, a 64x remake would just be redundant.

In my opinion the 128x remake isnt very well done and not much effort has been put into it, a 64x gerudoku will bring ack the texture pack with life!
In my opinion i think someone should work on a 16x16 remake of Gerudoku. It will let people with less powerful machines be able to use it and make it more popular.

I dont believe the quality would be good enough to compete?
I honestly hope that's sarcasm. All you did was an embosse a blurred upscaled texture.
On another note, my take on reviving Doku's RPG pack is reminiscent of Wayuki's. Doku has a new pack
now, with *more* detail than this one. Not to mention that Gerudoku is not the original pack, it was
simply Doku's RPG created by Doku, hence it's original name. Not to mention that Gerudoku was not made
by Tombones, the compiler, but rather multiple individuals contributing to Doku's work.
Doku's RPG and Gerudoku both had their time and quite frankly if there isn't a Doku RPG remake on the
first page, there is one at this moment on the second or third, so saying it's dying (Both important in the
sentence and bolded due to incorrect spelling in the title ), is a completely incorrect statement.'
Yes, Doku's RPG texture pack was a magnificent pack and one of the few that was created when minecraft
wasn't "huge", but it's insane to be looking at a texture pack as if you're praising it, stressing that it's "dying".
Thankfully Doku is still a part of the minecraft community and forums, working on a top notch texture pack, in that of
Dokucraft, approaching 2 years after his other pack was begun.
There are around 4 or 5 updated GeroDoku/DokuRPG packs around.
I have no idea what you're talking about.
What i am trying to say is that the pack is losing its originality, with each new update new textures are required; with the current remixes of the original gerudoku (which has only 1 person working on) i am finding the textures rushed and of low quality in comparison to the rest of the pack.
With all that out of my system i have decided to do a full overhaul of gerudoku (32x32), once complete the texture pack will have a much higher final quality but will hopefully still have its original feel to it.
Although this may take a while and ill first need a heap of support, once complete with the 32x version of this overhaul i will continue with both the 16x and the 64x of the pack.
Hopefully this will please those of you who wont stray from the default resolution
IMO I never liked the dirt in gerudoku...It was too much and had obvious tiling issues! The dirt ruined the whole pack for me as it was just a huge Eyesore!
I am already planning on a small change to the dirt of the pack, in my opinion it doesn't tile very well at all so i will have to fix that up, however i do not want to stray from its original look too much so im going to keep the way it layers otherwise im going to start straying into doku's current pack (that wouldnt be too wise)
I really don't see the point. There are a few Gerudoku remix packs, and Doku is working on his RPG pack. Unless you're going to redo a significant amount, I doubt you'll really bring anything new to the table. Also, I've seen some of the textures of that 128x version, and those are really well done. I don't see where you can get off saying they're not, and that no effort was put into them.

I could possibly work on a 16X16 RPG myself in the future, but currently my priorities are on the development of Gerudoku HD

Compete with what?
Compete with other texture packs, in my opinion more peope would prefer a higher res than a lower
I still think we should make it 16x16, so that the pack would be available to more people.
Here are the three resolutions side by side
16x
32x
64x
any comments?

Move on people, it had it's reign...
