SORRY I DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE SPOILER TAGS YET.
For those who want to help me
Please give harsh feedback ad I want to improve on this until It is suitable for all of you. I'd love to get real time help on this and if you want to do so contact me via pm. I am avalable on Steam and Xfire in realtime.
Could you please explain what you mean by this? I mean both of these? Why it makes you sad and what isn't flat?
Well, i know you DO know arena and morrowind, but that part in my post made me remember many people dont, which makes me sad.
For the grass, I meant, try to add some shading. Look at how the default pack, or other packs do it: there are darker pixels under the sidegrass, so it looks like the grass casts a shadow, making it look as if it sticks out as a result.

Yeah, One of my favorites was Redguard.
and thank you for the feedback, I'll see what I can do.
Man do people need to stop reminding me I've never managed to get Daggerfall to work on my computer. Anyways, this pack looks really good thus far, and I can't think of much advice that would help you out.
One thing is bothering me, though, and that's the top of the dispenser/furnace. It just doesn't make sense. That and your cake is messed up, in the new update Notch changed the alignment, just need to lower it to align with the bottom of the texture area and not the top I believe (if that doesn't make sense just look at the cake's position in the default texture now).
I would also recommend making an alternate window at some point, one with transparency (or perhaps make the current one an alternate?) because as cool as what you've got is, I don't think many people would like to make their glass blocks into windows that don't tile too well and you can't see through. It's be good for a particular type of map or for nostalgia, but not for general playing.
Also, I was wondering if I might obtain permission to edit some of these and put them up with my pack (yes, I can tell from the screenshots that they're quality textures)? With credit, of course. It's not even a proper pack anymore, really, just a collection of textures I've uploaded here, a majority of which are mine and a few edited textures from Misa's pack. It's cool if you don't want me to, though. And as a side note, I'd recommend you upload your textures there if you think you'll ever have a lot of alternates or if you want to make it easy for people to pick and choose which textures for people to incorporate into their own personal remixes (even if there's not much there yet, I'm convinced it's a good enough place that quite a few people will start using it).
Edit: Noticed that the water doesn't seem to be transparent; that's another thing I'd recommend making an alternate for.
When do you suppose you might have a download ready? I really want to see this in-game. :smile.gif:

Have you tried DaggerXL? It's an engine that runs Daggerfall for modern computers.
You may very well take the textures.
The "Hardcore" Texture pack is the one I'm focusing on becuase it mimic's the game by not having transparency on such objects. The "Normal Version will have transparency as you mentioned on water, doors, windows, and other transparency items.
I see, sounds cool man. And I've found a download of all the textures from Daggerfall, there are a lot. I'm going to try and sort through some of them, but it's near 50MB of indexed gif files.
I have heard of DaggerXL, but I remember when I looked it up I decided to wait for the next release or something to try it. That's something I can thank you for reminding me of, I should go see what's going on with that.

I used a program that reads daggerfall's textures directly called Daggerfall Imaging 2.
Whoah, did you say a 1024x1024 pack? To be honest that's going a bit overboard, even people running really high resolutions wouldn't be able to take advantage of it.

Still looks awesome though!
That's not texture size its the size of the texture sheet.

That made me really sad.
However, its a nice texturepack. I would change the sidegrass so its not that flat anymore, and try to make the planks tile.

Most of the Daggerfall tiles were 64x64, man. :smile.gif:
rip dreams.
