Do not zip the folder. Go into the folder and select terrain.png and the rest of the files. Right click and then send-to zip. Then copy that zip into your texturepacks folder.

Tis far better to be a witty fool than a foolish wit.
OK, calm down. I can understand about 2% of what you are saying. What is the problem? What set up are you using? We can't help you if you aren't going to give us information. Is it an HD pack? Home made? What image editing tool are you using? People probably need this to help you.

ok sorry. i need help getting my texture pack working because every time i try, it just does nothing, what are the only things that should be in the texture pack before placing it in the texture pack folder? If theres any sign that it is an hd texture pack i havent seen it, and im using paint, low quality, but to be honest the first time trying it worked.
honestly, no offense, but i didnt need to hear that, i was worried because my minecraft kept glitching up and refused to work, please im asking if you could please keep it to yourself because im worried i might lose this thing and im deperat for help.
Try using correct spelling and grammar, it does help.
My guess is that you're zipping the folder with the texture pack in it. You can't do that. You must zip all the files inside that folder, and not the folder itself.
Never use MSPaint if you're making a texture pack. MSPaint doesn't support opacity so transparent blocks like glass, leaves and torches will have a white outline around them. A good free image editing software that supports opacity is Paint.NET, But you can also use GIMP.

Curse PremiumUse a real image editor not Paint.
Gimp, Paint.NET, Photoshop, etc.
I don't make spelling mistakes, I make new words
