That's better, now there's gold. Also darkened the iron ore a bit.
Sorry for not having above ground image yet, still working on grass, and getting my ideas straight for trees.
This texture pack is going to be dedicated to as many dwarf stereotypes that I can fit in.
The first one? Beer for water. Will have an image of that once I make it not look like crap.
If all goes well I will have an image of above ground and some more underground stuff by Sunday.
The first version of this will be a preview version that only has a few items skinned and just some of the blocks you would find by just wandering around. You know essential stuff.
Give your opinions if you like and maybe some suggestions. For soon, the beer shall flow.
An alert to all miners in the tunnels, the elves have a new mystical abomination that has been spotted in tunnels close to the surface.
Reports from the lucky dwarf that survived the ordeal described it as resembling a tree, but it had legs and made a frantic dash towards the hapless miners. When in range the abomination exploded in a burst of magical energy, killing his 3 co-workers.
If you spot the beasts, flee if you have no ready weapon. If able strike against it with the fury of the dwarven race.
Attached is a sketch of the beast as described by the survivor.
gonna try to get some more done to have a new screenshot today, want to have the grass, tree, and leaves textures done to show them.
Trying to make everything look cavernous (which is challenging since we can't change the sky color) and having trouble thinking of what to do with grass and trees.
And by "cavernous" I mean kinda like how the dwarves live inside the mountain in Dragon Age Origins.

I'm a Java programmer, and I'm a terrible artist. Anything else, just ask me.
Haven't really felt artistic this last week. Been prodding the textures every once in awhile.
Sometime this week there should be images of above ground though.
Just need to finish the first part of trees, while speaking of trees, can someone link me to a tutorial on how the leaves color texture works? I need to change that for how my "trees" work.
Got a lot of crap going on in life right now so I'm marking this as suspended.
I may eventually revive this pack, but I'm not gonna be working on it anytime soon.
If I don't the textures I have for Stone, the different ores, and trees I'm going to merge into this other thing I'm working on.
And I really don't think I would be very timely on updating the pack for each update. It's annoying making 32x textures that don't look like a 3-year old scribbled it out, and I'm no artist. I suck at making things look good on anything higher than 16x.
Anyway the stone and trees are the only textures I have done that I actually like, but I may continue this one day.

A double resolution graphics pack that stays faithful to the originals.

for the
That's actually Iron. It's supposed to be bronze/copper..... which is a turquoise color before being refined.

Now this is only a conceptualization of what the skeletons are going to look like, but it's pretty close if you ask me.
