Description:
Basically I thought that the default textures were a bit too noisy- noisy as in that Photoshop filter that makes plain colors grainy. So I did the same thing, just using less noise. And I changed the blocks to give a more cohesive feel.
Now, take note, this is a work in progress. It's still version 0.4. I don't like all the colors, but at least I finally have a plan for this pack. Let me know if there's anything that I should still work on (without being rude).
I also made custom .pngs for the welcome and option screens.
looks nice, the stone looks a little soft tho, but still looks good
Okay, I can add some speckle back into the stone. It does need a little something, but I want to keep it rather smooth overall. Perhaps like a 20% speckling increase.
I downloaded the terrain.png because I couldn't wait :smile.gif:
EDIT: I like it but the only problem is that in the cobblestone, the light grey part is noticeably lighter in some spots.

Do you mean the grout between the cobblestone bricks?
I plan on making the cobblestone, brick, sandstone, mossy, and lapis blocks all into bricks, with the same aesthetic for them. I will take anything in to suggestion.

Yeah that's what I was talking about. Sandstone looks fine, but on the cobblestone, It looks like You overlapped two lines because it's more white in the intersections of grout.
I'm liking this, definitely get it done. I'll be looking forward to it!

Looks promising for your first post; looks very similar to the style I made when I first tried to resking Minecraft. Oooh the good times :smile.gif:. Hope you do well in the future!
Thread commenting to bump version 0.3 to the front page.
Today I made great strides in the development of this pack. Mostly the wool. The planks are now simpler. The glowstone matches the window, though I might modify them a bit in a later version. Just a bit.
I have worked on nearly 75% of the terrain file and have started 2 of the gui files. Things should go faster now that I have a good idea where this is heading.
Okay, for the latest iteration of my texture pack, I figure it's at that 75% completed mark.
For this update, I worked on the gui items, as well as the welcome and option screens. As you can see in the screenshot below, it's starting to come together. I like the modern/clean look of it.

edit for July 12th: increased stone texture, redid the crafting block, first iteration of note block and wool blocks. See 0.2 image below.
