My friend is having some issues with textures. She can't use any.

I was in vent with her giving her step by step instructions on how to do it. I had her download the HD Texture Patcher (I forget the name, but it's at the top of the forums). Then I had her open it up, hit patch. Then had her hit test, she said Minecraft opened up and she was able to play perfectly fine.

Then I had her download the SphaxPureDBCraft128x.zip (which I'm using and it works 100% perfectly). She loads up Minecraft, opens the textures folder, places the .zip file into that folder. She can see the texture pack pop up in the menu, and she selects it. The game pauses for a moment (the menus and all that stuff change like it should.) She hits done, and then the screen just turns to black and then nothing. She can't do anything. She'll exit out of Minecraft and open it back up, and her screen is still black.

Any idea whats going on?

Did she use the patch after the .zip was placed in the texture pack folder?

I'm pretty sure HD texture packs won't work unless you patch after adding them.

No she patched BEFORE adding the .zip to the texture folder.

Thats what I did as well. I patched, then downloaded the texture and placed it in the proper folder and it worked for me.

I know I'm not providing a lot of information, but does anyone have any idea whats going on?

Again, we're using the same exact texture packs, using the same exact install method, and mines working and her's isn't.

Would it be because maybe her java needs to be set up to use more memory then what it currently is?
