I went and edited the texture of my cobblestone to look like this:

My friend that the things that looked like 1.8 cobble stone was actually the ruins that are going to be in 1.8 cause why would they re texture the cobble in one update then re texture it all over again in the next update.

Er... The textures don't like right when sitting side-by-side. Like, right next to each other.

Im not saying it looks bad just saying thats the ruins

I find that the painterly version of cobblestone (a specific one and you'll know which) is identical to the 1.8 video's block. Thought I'd let you know.

Oh... haha... woops. Well I took the image of 1.8 and found out where a block would be and copied and pasted it. But that image got distorted so i just did my best to copy it.

@OP, it looks nice, doesn't tile very well, though, IMO.

Why it doesn't tile very well is cause I was moving while taking the picture... My friend was pushing me
