I originally intented to use this as a way to increase my performance in Minecraft due to my very laggy computer. I noticed after using this texture pack that I did indeed get a performance increase. I then thought it would be a good idea to release a pretest version of this to the public to see if they would get the same results as I did. It is currently a work in progress, as some of the textures haven't yet been simplified, but it'll get better if this becomes somewhat popular among minecrafters, I promise.

I know it's pretty bad as of now. I'm just trying to see if anybody is noticing any performance increase while using it. It'll get better in the near future.
This made my computer run so much faster on Mine Craft, if this gets enough momentum, Notch just may add this, But i guess its just an Idea, Great work!

Hey guys, I just wanted to say how pleased I am to here that people are getting performance increases. Keep up the comments and I may start working on a v1.1 release. Expect to see more simplified textures and maybe a more visually interesting atmosphere. :biggrin.gif:
