Time for one of my lengthy feedback comments, I don't do these regularly, I do these to the interesting packs that I feel can really be great.
"Inconsistant", is my first thoughts.
At first I thought the planks looked too harsh and bold but it looks good but that screenshot with the Redstone and wood hut is what is off putting to me. The grass you have shown in the screenshots is default and not the one in the tp. The grass is also in a simular harsh style but isn't that good, its patchy and messy. The dirt, sand, stone and cobblestone where it has the lighter shading and colours then the planks, half slabs, brick and leaves (which are the best 'realistic' looking ones for a 16px I've EVER seen, and I've seen a lot.) have darker colours and harsher contrast. Those half slabs and leaves look amazing and I prefer that type of 'style' of texture over the subtle textures. The leaves should be a tad lighter, try to avoid using full on black in the biome texturing as it's very strong - try a dark gray.
The GUI and title is also very cool but I feel it would be more suited for a 'futuristic' robot pack, seems odd to have a computer like interface in the woods environment. The red is kinda an eye sore, it's not pleasant.
I think this texture pack can work on it's overall uniform look, either the smoother subtle style or the 'harsh realistic' side. However having a mix of both is also very good almost essential to make a good pack where its neither dull and a mush of simular colours and textures or a unpleasantly harsh black contrasted noise world. I would advise you smooth out the planks as I feel it's too strong looking and it'll be a common block to see repeated. Also maybe add some depth and texture to the stone, cobble and sand - they look very 'smudgy' especially when you see them in excess.
This is a texture pack I've been working on for a while and it is still far from complete but I am proud of what i've done so far.

Things that are made of gold (useless) will be pirate themed!
Suggestions would be appreciated (probably).
enjoy
I have added a list what is missing.
And no, you won't need the HD program it's 16x16.
I just changed some GUI stuff.
I Have changed some more GUI stuff and limited the colour palette to give the GUI a more 'retro' feel.
Some small colour changes and more GUI stuff
I will update the screenshots to show-off the new HUD
I should probably wait longer before updating but there was an issue with the sun texture.

That's my feedback as of now.
