Sorry for another bump everyone, but I took Vitrolic's advice, and changed the biome colours. Now the all the colours are slightly more vibrant. Here is a screenshot of rainforest, what do you all think?
Awesomic Texture! 5 diamonds for you!
I have a question though, are you using the faithful 32x textures as placeholders?
EDIT: looks like someone didn't read the first post XD

Thanks, time to go make a sword and pick :wink.gif:
Hahaha, yes I am, hopefully I'll make all of my items original eventually.
Call me a nitpick, but I like my texture packs to have all of the mobs, other than that, great. I actually got back into the Super Hostile map series because of your screens.

Completely understandable, I'm going to get around doing those very soon. I'm just going to finish the art framework first, so far they look great.
Thanks for testing. Would you like something changed with the ladders? I was always a bit sceptical about it.
I don't really like the flowers, because aren't the trees a bit mossy? I have not really payed attention to them. If they are mossy, maybe you could add more moss and make it blend with the trees better? Because I use a lot of ladders, and they really stand out. It is up to you really.
Plus, I like how you made the creeper not so cuddly. It thirsts for your blood.

Okay, that sounds like a plan. I'll make the planks for the ladder bigger too, so the moss will look better. And I can either change the flowers or remove them completely; I'll see what looks best (or put in an alternate texture). Also, thanks for the creeper feedback, I thought he looked nice :wink.gif:
I know I have been posting a whole lot, but I have a small suggestion. When you get to doing the water, maybe try putting leaves or lillipads (?) in them. I am pretty sure you have thought of this, but just making sure. I am also looking really forward to what you will do for the ghasts. You have shown great texturing for everything, but the Ghast will be tough, at least I think it will be.

I enjoy your feedback, so don't worry :tongue.gif:
Yes, I have considered putting lilypads in the water, but the only problem then is that it would be in every tile, and would look quite strange. I'm considering giving the ghast a grass skirt and a coconut bra. It would be hilarious.
I have had another idea, which I am almost willing to bet money you have also thought of. Making the spiders the colors of the bark of the wood. Like the brown with the green stripes? And one thing, this might sound stupid, but instead of a bow, blowdarts and a tube? Might just be stupid, but hey, you said you like feedback.

And do you have a guesstimate on the next update?
That idea for the spiders is actually quite nice, I might just use it. It could work very well. Also, my friend actually suggested a blow dart gun, I could have another go at it.
Well the next update will be out when I have done the frames for the artwork, a few mob skins (probably the spider and ghast) and custom water and lava. So it may take a while, but I'll work on it as fast as I can.
But you should put the plants only in the standing water, not in the flowing one. (You'd have probably done it like that anyway, I know.)
A greenish tinge to the water would look good, with plants in it or without.
Also, if you haven't already thought of it: Why not make the chickens look like exotic birds?
Here are some inspirations:
Did you know that the Peacock also belongs to the fowl-like birds?
Of course their color range is a bit more exiting, so you could also make very colorful fantasy chickens.
As for pigs: There is an interesting looking pig that lives in tropical rainforests in africa: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_River_Hog
Maybe you would like to make pigs look like it in you texture pack.
For cows I suggest the appearance of the Saola, a rare vietnamesian wild bovid, or the Okapi, although the second one is of course not a cow. But it looks good. :wink.gif:
I have now idea for sheep because they usually don't dwell in forests.
Oh, and I for my part really like the flowers on the ladders. They look so sweet. If you decide to change that maybe you could use them somewhere else? Mybe as decoration for the GUI you make one day. Or as addition to the tall grass block.

Well, he did say it would look strange if you had a lake per say near your house, and on every tile there was a lillipad, and I do not believe you can make it so that there is no lillipads in the flowing water if you have it in the still.
I also really like the idea of the gui flowers, might work out nicely, but ultimatly it is up to Apple.

Wow, this was fantastic. I never expected a post like this :tongue.gif: I believe I will take up the idea of flowers on the GUI, and for the chickens, my friend suggested a dodo. I will look at those birds you linked to as well, thanks for that.
And I shall definitely base the pig on that, it looks fitting. With some mud on its hooves, of course :wink.gif: I'm going to experiment with the water, and see what works best.
Thanks for your review and advice, I'll take it on board!
Um... from my computer they are, it may be a problem on your end. What do the images display?

Sure. But in the mean time, I am going to test it out, see if it fits my worlds. Looks great once again.

Thanks Vitrolic, I look forward to your thoughts.
EDIT: Just realised, I hadn't actually updated the downloads. I was just waiting for a few more things to be completed before I update.

Yes, or some kind of duckweed!
