Hmm I thought I already responded like ages ago, I guess it didn't work... But I appreciate that you value my opinion, is it because I give constructive criticism? 'That's nice' and 'It's very good' are fine but hey that's not much of a proper reflection on a pack.
I basically said that the biome work is good, it was very suitable for the proper biomes. I also liked the signs, creeper other things apart from the terrain.png. I don't know what the pumpkin is supposed to look like, so please explain I'm not sure what it is.
I would also you do a custom water or lava but more importantly water. (I think I have the most recent version so correct me if I'm back a couple versions) I would like to see swampy, murky dark water with tints of green or brown rather than marine blue. Would have more effect of the rainforest theme. My ideas for magma would be maybe a blood harsh red with darkened stone shards - very volcanic but not pure lava, that's just my idea. Making custom water/lava is difficult however, quite advanced. Took me a while to get the hang of it and create something. So if you can't or just can't get it right maybe you can get the hold of someone else's with permission of course and maybe recolour it to suit the pack.
I also mentioned to lighten your tall grass and fern pieces, this would stop a highly disjointed and uneven look on the overworld. Mainly because the tall grass and ferns are coloured way too dark. You can't necessarily just desaturate the coloured tall grass/fern when you create them (with colour) mainly because it doesn't always translate nicely with the biome colouring.
See my images for my explanation.
As you can see, they are really dark and it's very noticeable.
I lighten them and you can see it's much more streamlined with the surroundings and merges well with the top grass texture almost seamless. Good tiling, colour transitions and consistency of form are traits of a good texture pack so I highly urge you to make this change.
That's certainly was a wall of text, but I certainly do not do this for every pack I comment on so I hope you can appreciate and take aboard my input. Edge,
I do value your opinion, as you seem to be quite good at these kinds of things. Believe you did comment on the biomes a while back, but that was before I had actually released it publicly - it was only a screenshot.
Lightening the tall grass/ferns looks much better, I'll do that soon. I'm going to change the pumpkins in the future, so hold your horses :tongue.gif:
I have the image of water in my mind, I've already made a test work. It turned out horrible, but I get the basic idea. The only real difficulty is making sure every animation tiles correctly... easier said than done. I'll give lava a go after water; the latter is more important for the pack.
I'll get to work on it once I finish this damn assignment.
The custom water is going relatively well; I have figured out the basics and got the idea of it. Currently the still water looks good, but the only problem is that it doesn't move from tile to tile, and squirms in a circle instead. I shall fix it up soon and post screenshots.
Moving water will be next. Be sure for custom water to finally become a reality in the next update!
Ooh, very nice water. Is it animated? Still or flowing?
Seems to tile nicely, so that's the most important thing. I also agree the GUI inventory screens are a tad too dark, but look great. Are you just replicating that design for all of them? Because that one there would defiantly suit the furnace GUI as it's all stoney.

Currently the still water is animated, although it looks a little odd. I think using the inventory GUI for the furnace would look best, I'll change the inventory to wood or something similar.
Wow, nice. Those textures really makes minecraft smooth, and keeps it original. Not too much differing, not too little. And your textures are actually custom made, not like the randomcraft I made. No, that is not the packs name. It's name is DarkCraft, and all I really did to the pngs was add black & white, and noise. Ha. Easy way around it :biggrin.gif:
I like your nether blocks alot. It's all cool!
Liked :smile.gif:
Thanks a lot for your feedback, I appreciate every word. I worked hard on those nether blocks, I'm glad you like them!
You can tell what most are, the giant mushrooms and their respective stalks underneath, also you'll need to do the web.
Thanks for posting, I'll be sure to get on it as soon as I feel better... currently my head is throbbing like... well I'll leave that to your imagination.

Speaking of 1.8, I wanted to ask you- Do you think you could help me create the vines for my texture pack? And in return you can use something from my terrain?

I think I could help you, I just need to do mine first.
1.8 is coming along well, I've done the new stone bricks, as well as the cracked and mossy variants, and the vines have also been completed. (I'm going to add some leaves to the vines soon).
Mushrooms are up next!
P.S. I can not wait for 1.8. How awesome is that, my excitement rhymes!
Good luck man, I am sure you'll do great.
/I love the sandstone. I made a tower out of it :biggrin.gif:
Now don't embarrass me by not actually posting feedback, guys.
EDIT: Embarrassed.

No...
This. Is. PERFECT!
DEAL WITH IT.
Thanks very much, Spartan!
Thank you :smile.gif:
Here is a screenshot of water so far:
And here is the current GUI:
I'm sceptical towards the inventory; it seems too dark. I'll probably work on it soon.

P.S. Guys, the next update will probably be a big one, including water, some new items, some GUI, updated blocks, and more! Stay tuned!
