So I looked at my map in every texture pack I have today, and I noticed that the bed and the cake in many of them were only visible from the top. I figured I was just using out of date versions of the packs, so I downloaded the new ones, but the problem persisted. This never happened before the update, so I assume its something in the update that did it, but I can't figure out what it would be.
The only two texture packs I have that don't have this problem are Last Days, and Pixeludi (which has the problem with the cake but not the bed).
Has anyone else experienced this? Any idea what's causing it, and if there's a way to fix it?
I did too. I believe it is because of 1.7, regardless if the model is a 1.6.6 or older, or 1.7. It will be straightened out later. I think you can deal with it for now!

You can modify it yourself, it's really not difficult. Assuming you're using a Windows machine, just go get PAINT.NET

Ya, it is because both the sides of the cake and bed have been moved down in the terain.png so that they are not visible on 1.6 texture packs. If you can manualy edit it with some editing program, just move them down 6 pixles (correct me if I'm wrong) so that they are compatable. Hope this helps!
