After I recently installed mc edit and too many items (great mods btw) I find can no longer use texture packs. when I place the zipped folder in the texture pack folder it shows up on the selection list but if I use it it fails to do anything at all and is stuck on the default texture. should I just backup my saves and reinstall minecraft? I am afraid when I do ill just reinstall the mods and nothing will happen then it would be a big waste. also i would like to have to have both of those mods.
You don't have to back up your saves to reinstall minecraft.
But yeah, reinstall.

if you plan on deleting your whole .minecraft folder, you must make back ups of your saves.
if you plan on deleting the bin folder only, you dont have to.

yea thats what i planned on was deleting the whole .jar so ill just back up my saves then
LOL it has nothing to do with mincraft :tongue.gif: it's how YOU installed the texture pack. I think most likely if you open the zip up you'll find another zip inside. Minecraft only reads one file inwards, so you have to unzip THAT and drag out the zip inside.

On another note, is it an HD texture pack? Is so you need to patch your .jar.
