OK, so I decided to make a new texture pack based on Default. So far, I've modified 7 items textures.

From left to right its:

Single Chest, Furness (unlit), dispensor, double chest, TNT, Brick Block, NoteBlock

Unpictured is the Crafting Table

It IS an x32 pack, so you will need the HD patcher tool (which is stickied).

Future changes:
[x] Make Dispensers and Furnesses darker
[ ] Figure out whats wrong with the single chest
[x] Modify the knob on the chests
[ ] Finish the rest of the terrain.png items
[ ] Do the items
[ ] Do the mobs

Derivatives are allowed and welcome as long as you give credit to me if half or more of the pixels that I've modified remain intact, or if one full item that I textured is intact.

I've never seen basic craft. Its basically me experimenting with texturing. I may or may not make it more basic or more complex. Depends on what I feel like. The name of the texture pack (I think) comes from the german words for Clear and Craft. Plus, I'm doing it as a proof of concept 1.7 compatible texture pack.
