Hey, I am busy making a texture pack and have encountered two problems that hopefully somebody can help me with.
1. When I make the grass block, the top of the side, where the grass hangs down a little, seems to be paler than the top of the block, where it's fully grass. I have tried to change the entire block because of this and still get the same problem.
2. I have not gone anywhere near the water during editing, yet the water seems to have lost it's detail from the original look. Now when still is literally still, just a poor looking image. When moving it's just a poor animation, somewhat like the default water. I'm not sure what's going on here.
If anybody could get back to me, and provide some help, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Not sure about the water thing, but I had a water problem and I just went into my .jar and copied the regular water back on to it and then I could edit it again, so that would probably work. As for the grass, I had the same problem. It's because the grasscolor.png is different than whatever colors you used for the overhanging grass in the terrain.png. To match them up, I just took a screenshot in-game of the grass and then put it into my editing program (in my case paint.net) and sampled the colors.
Is the MCpatcher necessary for 16 x 16 texture packs? I have it, but having used it at all during this, So I don't think what you mentioned is the problem. Thank you, though

Hope that helped!
EDIT - Sorry, I misunderstood what you said, but got it now. Thanks.
