wondering if all the wooden slabs are meant to look like the oak slab or is that a work in progress?
A friend advised me to re-install my minecraft client, said it was glitching. It worked fine after that....until i re-installed optifine. Now it's the same story, although i did test other texture packs and they don't seem to be affected by the 'glitch.' I really need help figuring this out:( can someone, ANYONE, help me out with what might possibly be going wrong here?
First, your pack is epic, and a lot of people agree with that.
Secondly, in my opinion, you should re-do your block breaking animation, because
there is a small white flash appearing around the animation, and that does not appeal
to my eyes.

This is quite a beautiful texture pack, though there's one thing that makes it so very practical.
In the texture pack, the sky always has a star (other than the 'sun') regardless of it being day or night.
After looking at for five seconds in the day, I realized it was the Northern Star.
A brilliant way to add something so subtle, but so useful; now I can ditch having to press F3, or using a map or compass in general.

Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation. The problem with the slabs is that I didn't set up the CTM properties files for them correctly. I'll try to remember fix that for next version.

Thanks. I'll see if I can redo the breaking animation soon. I've been meaning to do that for a while.
I've just registered here for the exact purpose of replying to this thread. Inspiration is my favourite texture pack, I've been using it since MC 1.2.5 - there is just one little problem.
It would be really helpful if you could make the font a fixed-width one. I'm playing on a Factions sever, where I can't use this TP due to the font. The Faction plugin provides a function to display maps of claims you've bought via the chat. I'm sure you can imagine how a font that doesn't have fixed width characters makes this and anything else related to ascii art utterly useless.
Other than that, this is a brilliant piece of work.
Could you describe more what the exact problem is, or provide screenshots? I'd love to fix it, but I'm not sure what needs to be done. Sorry for the late reply, I was on vacation. I plan on redoing the font to match everyone's expectations this next version, so if you could soon advise me on how to fix it for you, that would be helpful.

Good eye. ;D
I should probably do some kind of feature list in the original post. I guess not everyone knows about some of the little features like that.
Would it be possible to have you upload higher resolution variations, such as the original resolution? Or would that be too much work for you?
I just think the lower resolution textures are a bit weird.
Either way, kudos to you for your epic pack!
Also, for everyone having issues with the font, for now, you can change the font to default by turning off 'Custom Fonts' in the Optifine menu if you have Optifine installed. That way, it's as clear as the default font.

This is the original resolution, 32x32. It was never a high-res pack - it was meant to be 'pixel art' style(though I usually don't follow the rules of true pixel art).

Oh, sorry. I just remembered it being of higher resolution.
Having a bit of trouble, but dont understand why. I've just downloaded the mcpatcher-3.0.3_01, the latest official release (the beta version does NOT work at all with this TP). Ive checked better glass and connected textures, and have the 2.9 version of the TP. In-game however, Im getting invisible glass (No, I do not use optifine), thin white wireframes around shooting stars and one side of the skybox, and various other thin line borders around transparent texture pieces (such as on repeaters). Am I lacking an update to something?

Have you maybe turned on a high mip-mapping level, or are you using shaders or any other graphics mod? A screenshot might help me better diagnose the problem.

mip mapping isn't enabled in the MCPatcher options, and I am not using any shaders (never got em to work anyhow) nor any graphic mods that are not already inclued in the patcher. Mod list in the patcher is:
Default mods:
-Extended HD
-Random Mobs
-Custom Colors
-Connected Textures
-Better Glass
-Better Skies
-HD Font
Here is a test screenshot:
To the left is a 2x2 of glass blocks, to the right glass panes. Neither have a texture in the game world, just a wireframe when pointed at. The block has a texture in the hotbar, the panes do not (they are in the second slot) Also visible are the lines I mentioned on the redstone, as well as the white line on the skybox. Items held in the hands also have white lines depending on the angle, though Ive found that and the redstone lines to be in many other texture packs. Getting close to the redstone makes the lines vanish, so distance plays a role.

I really can't be sure. All I can suggest is that you backup your bin and start from a fresh one, using MCPatcher first, then adding each mod one by one, checking in-game after every addition. Most issues with texture packs are caused by a conflicting mod. In this case I'd be willing to bet that it's modloader. I've had a lot of problems with it in the past.
I hate to give you such general advice, but I have so few people that have problems with my pack that I'm not very experienced with helping the few that turn up.

Yep, killing modloader did the trick for the glass at least. Seems I either had a crap version of it or it simply isnt compatable. Didn't need it anyways with MCPatcher installing the other mods. The lines are still there but thats likely something entirely different from a mod, likely my own pc or something failing me again... Might want to add in that Modloader bit as a possible issue with the glass not showing, untill it can be tested or verified. Could save you a few other comments like mine.
Hey Toby. I've been using your texture for a long time now. I've been noticing I get better frame rates when using the regular texture. I don't know if this is how it is with every pack or what. I freaking love the sky! I was wondering if you could (or anyone else that knows) tell me how to make the sky like that with the regular Minecraft texture. I will still use McPatcher for the better skies.

You would have to download the default texture pack from somewhere in pack form, since you can't drop the sky files into your minecraft.jar, then open my pack and drag the 'environment' folder from mine to the default pack. Truth be told though, if you're having fps reduction with my pack, it's probably because of the sky.
Your pack is nice so far, probably my favorite 32x32 pack at this time. I hope you finish it soon, some of those default textures clash hard (though that might've been due to the 1.5.2 update and not your pack..).

Thanks. Yeah I've got a bit more work to do to get the rest of the defaults out of the way. I keep getting sidetracked by improvements to old textures.

Thank you so much! I now have the sky with the regular texture. Here are the tests I did with the three textures (view is on Normal to see the sky):
Regular: around 70fps
Regular with sky: around 60fps
Inspiration: around 50fps
It's around 10 fps less with the sky, but it is worth it!
Thanks!
