However I was wondering. Is there a way to get the old Candle torch back? I know you gave instructions on how to do that in a post earlier in the thread but the instuctions no longer seem to be correct. As I cant find the 'anim' folder in the .zip file anymore.
The changes to texture packs in 1.5 made that old way invalid. In fact, the candle texture isn't present anywhere in the pack anymore. To get it back, you need to:
•open the pack you want it in
•open textures/blocks
•download and open this zip file
•drag the included 'torch.png' file into the new pack, overwriting the animated torch.png
•finish by making sure that torch.txt is deleted in that same folder(this is the properties file for the animated torch)
I love the cute little potato flowers in the update, they make me smile. :3 Everything else looks pretty good too!
Although, I'm not a fan of the new glass. I know you've redone the glass over and over again, but this one seems really cartoony. It doesn't fit the rest of the textures and sticks out way too much. It seems to pull your attention away from the rest of the build. Maybe that's just me though...

I guess from a certain point of view it might look cutesy, but that's kind of the way I want my pack to look - just with an added hint of realism. I feel like that art style fits the mood of Minecraft. Besides, I really cant do any better on the glass without access to reflection and distortion effects. This game just lacks the power to make itself look like it should. I bet, though, that I could make this glass look a lot less cutesy by making the corners not rounded and the lower left shine not curved, but straight.
Downloaded and using it. Currently, I love this texture pack! I was a sort of purist to faithful for awhile this texture pack is just so beautiful and well done. One of the biggest aspects I love about it so far is the mob skins in it. Creepers are actually creepy now!
Yeah that's fine. I don't think it will look right on pocket though. No randomized textures, no better skies, even the glass will be invisible since it uses Better Glass mod. I'm assuming pocket doesn't use MCPatcher.

Tobi, could you make a version that works with Optifine?
Last time I tried the pack with Optifine, it worked. Has something changed? I'll look into it.
Edit: I just tried Optifine HD B1 Ultra for MC 1.5.1, and everything was working fine except for glass, which requires the Better Glass mod included in MCPatcher.
Did you perhaps have an old version of Optifine, or did you install it incorrectly, or damage the installation through the addition of other mods?
Hey I just want to say thank you for linking me the texture for the candle. I know you have done ALOT of work on the new torch and I don't mean to discredit that. I think it looks fantastic. Just as this Texture pack has become my default pack that I use. I just prefer the Candle of Inside use.
TobiwanK3nobi, I was wondering if I could get your permission to use Inspiration in a combination texture pack i've put together. This texture pack combines what I think are the best textures from multiple packs (currently 7) all in one along with some minor editing and modifications to make them blend together. I will always give you credit and will never claim the textures as my own. I would also like to share this texture pack with my friends and other players, I will not make any revenue from the downloads. Inspiration really is a great texture pack and I would love if I could get your permission to use it.

Permission granted. I always like to see the mix packs people come up with, if only to see peoples preferences so that I might change my pack to satisfy the majority. So when you're done, a link would be cool.
Oh sorry, I should be more specific. I'm talking about the glass textures. Could you make a version that has glass that can render with Optifine?
I might be able to do that. Pretty damn busy right now though, and I'm about to leave for a week on vacation. Optifine is supposed to get an update that will fix this though. Soon I hope.

Nope, definitely the glass doesn't work to me, i guess you can't use Optifine instead of MCPatcher.
Yeah, it's a problem. Mainly with Optifine. The guy hasn't added Better Glass mod to Optifine yet. I hope he does it soon, because it's a great feature.
Yeah, but even when I switch to MCPatcher, the Glass Pane doesnt render in the creative or survival inventory.
That's a problem as well, even with MCPatcher. Kahr neglected to make the blocks render with full transparency in the inventory. I guess he expected everyone to put a frame on their glass, which would have rendered.
great job on the texture pack...it's become my favorite although, the new glass texture is gonna take some getting used to, as i liked the old glass texture a lot better. keep up the great work!

Really gotta update to 1.5 soon so I can use it...
