Ohz!! And Please!! Use Connected Textures on the Glass, Grass, Stone, Cobblestone and stuff like that
It would look so much better, than the repetitive 1 texture over and over again! o3o
For an example, make the grass have stomped flowers in it, or a little piece of dirt sticking out at some parts..
Just like Misa did, and an example of how to use the Connected Textures on Stone is in John Smith's Texture pack.. c:
I've already been working on many randomized textures and ctm support for the past month or so. Some worked out, some I didn't like and removed, but will redo later. Random textures is something I was asking for for a long time, so I'm eager to get lots of things randomized. Like grass yes, and stone, and ores, and basically anything that is used on a large scale.
I'm using 1.4.2 and my cobblestone slabs look like something else. Can you perhaps fix it? The picture of the cobblestone slab is correct, but once placed it looks simular to the stoneslab from dokucraft. Could you look into it? Here is a picture.
Edit: the same goes for stairs.
I also noticed a change in the gravel textures, which was fine as it was, but has turned (a bit) wierd in this version. Pictures sure do some magic:
The cobblestone slab thing is on purpose. It's a feature, not a bug. Just providing builders with an alternate texture. I didn't expect anyone to do half-block elevation changes in a regular cobble road. O_o
As for the gravel, what on earth is weird about it!? It's rock in dirt.
Your changes aren't bad, but they no longer suit the way I use them. Not to insult your work, but some of the changes caught me offguard. They don't work out as well as they did before. That is all.
As for gravel: The textures have a much stronger contrast with stone related blocks. I thought of the previous textures as more fitting since the overall color distribution is more simular to stone and such.
Is there anything I can do to make this work out for me?
Hmm. I see what you mean. I think I should make gravel more grayish like default. I was making it brown under the idea that people would want to make dirt+gravel paths with it, but I guess that doesn't make sense since grass would probably take over any dirt. I didn't realize people do cobble+gravel paths.
^^^ i don't like the new cobblestone slabs ether :/ and the gravel needs a bit of variety in the brown "dirt" as well.
EDIT: and as with my other post, the stonebricks are a bit too square (PUNS!!!).
i don't know what you want to do but i think the stonebricks need something like
mortar or rounded corners, to mix it up a little.

Yup yup. I'm in full agreement. Cobblestone slab will be changed to regular cobble, no flat slabs on top. Cobble stairs and wall, however, will remain as they are. Stonebricks will be changed to be deeper and less flat, more rounded, and with length variation in the bricks.

cool cool, the cobblestone slabs made my roads look like [REDACTED], thanks.
Tobi please release the water temple download I'm really desperate.

So, I can write anything in my sig and it will show up under my posts? <--- click this egg to find out the shocking truth about your life nobody has ever revealed
Tobi, what can I say? Your Pack is the first i've installed, just after getting Minecraft. You've made me buy it and i was so used to your pack from watching your videos, that I couldn't stand the default for long
You're so close to your Parckusers, thats nice, so I created an account here to tell you that your work is great!
I love the squared stonebricks! If you would make random lengths that would be great, but i like that the edges are not rounded. It really makes it stand out and looks fantastic in constructions.
The only two things i would love you to look into are:
the blending of the stone and the cobblestone is good, but i think it could be a bit smoother with the colour shading. you can see the line very well.
But the main reason why I wanted to write you is the wool. do you want the edges like they are or can you smoothen them, that they blend into one seamless surface? Because my "plastered" walls look like oversized cardboard boxes and my japanese castle like a lego house ... Thats the only two things i would love you to look at. Everything else is fine. Love your experiments.
Thank you so so much for your work! I really appreciate such a devoted artist!

Ah one last thing - the fence doors... is that a bug from the original game, or is it the texture pack? When open, the fence insides become invisible...
Thanks for your sentiments. It's good for my work to be appreciated.
Regarding your preferences:
1. Stone brick is actually changing in the next update(v27) to a muuuuch better texture imo, along with cobble and smooth stone. I didn't quite get things the way I wanted before I was forced to update to 1.4. Here's a snapshot if you would like to see what they will look like. Stone bricks and cobblestone are 'done' but I'm still working on smooth stone. If you preferred the flat, square stone bricks then all you would have to do to change them back with future versions is go into the pack zipfile, enter the ctm folder, open tkctm.png, and paste over the new stone bricks with the old ones. But I hope you like the new stone bricks. IMO they're perfect, and I doubt I'll ever change them again.
2. I don't know about the fence gates. I'll have to look into that. I may have set a properties file wrong.
3. As for wool, I'm pretty satisfied with the way it is, though I do agree that a division-less texture could make using it in builds look better. The current style was made to look plushy as carpets. I won't say that I'll change it for sure, and definitely not right now - much more important textures to work on - but I may revisit it in the future.
Can I have your permission to convert this to a Pocket Edition compatible texture pack?
Hmm. I didn't know 32x packs could be used on PE. You seem like an upstanding member of the community, so yes. Just know that textures in my pack change often. I don't expect you to keep them updated, but users of your conversion might.

Thanks! Yeah, there's a way to make it work. And I'll make sure to keep it updated as often as possible.
Excellent work. Not my absolute favourite TP (only one of the thousands of texture packs out there has that privilege,) but still definitely up there.

Let’s play good guys against bad guys… Yes. Let’s play that. Are you ready? You’re the bad guy. And when you’re bad, you just run. That’s fine right? Well… Shall we play?
