Originally, when I looked at the screenshots, I was completely wow-ed.
After running the texturepack through a few test runs, I realized that most of the armor and the compass were not completed!
I assumed this was another wonderful WIP that I could wait on to finish.
After I saw the zombie texture, I completely deleted the pack entirely.
Being able to find a nice, HD, wonderful texturepack lacking gore is quite hard in these times.
For one who didn't read the OP he said that he didn't make armor yet because he has a hard time making them for this one pack. At the time he only made iron armor cause he needed to quickly make armor from demand from the community.
It's still kinda W.I.P so you don't to fuss about stuff that has already been explained.
can you plz update this to higher rez PLZ i had this tpack from 1.8.1 and now it looks kinda pixely and seems like it has less rez
The pack's overall resolution has been the same from the beginning, perhaps you're talking about the mob resolution? Those were the only ones that've been scaled down. Here's a link to all previous versions of the pack; you can replace your mobs folder with one of the older ones, with higher res skins. Try v15.
Here are ALL the previous versions of my pack. Feel free to load up the terrain.png's and select any old textures you preferred. I apologize for not having a customizer set up to make this easier for everyone. Filesize is 70Mb.

Sorry about that, I didn't completely read the OP because I was eager to try out the pack. Thanks for pointing that out, though.
All stone-based textures are changing. Main stone not finalized. Ores not redone.
Changed spruce planks.
Added compatibility with Better Glass, available with latest MCPatcher version.
Randomized some textures, especially stone brick, but many more to follow.
Anvil not textured.
Other stuff, idk.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Now for a limited time you can try Mirkwood for free for a month. Mirkwood is not for everyone, especially children, women who are pregnant, or may become pregnant. Side effects include: nausea, vomiting, loss of bowel control, urges to speak German at random moments, explosive radiation poisoning, mutation, itchy, watery eyes, protein denaturalization, high fever, gooifying, potty-mouth, loss of charisma, and death. You must be 18 or over to be eligible to take Mirkwood. Ask your doctor if Mirkwood is right for you.
Strange that nobody has really addressed that prerelease. Oh well.
It's interesting that you're shifting from a more grainy realism to this graphic style. I like it, personally.
-The cobble and bedrock are excellent, but I'd watch for tiling in the cobble.
-Stone bricks resembles Santiago's work in the End is Extremely Nigh. It's quality stuff, but I'm not sure if it meshes with your new cobble which has a convincing feeling of depth.
-Your approach to oak planks' CTM is interesting, but it can come out looking very strange. Sometimes there will be a plank five blocks long right next to one a quarter block long, and it looks out of place.
-I think these changes are for the better, but unfotunately they also worsen the contrast with your older work. Your grain, lily pads, and especially items (though I know this is intended for creative mode first) need more attention.

Yeah, I'll be slowly going back through my old work and changing it to the new feel. Some things are going to be out of place for a while.
The planks can be a bit odd. Who knows if I'll keep them like that. For now, it's at least more interesting than no segments.
As for cobble, I still need to do randomization for it, so that will fix the tiling. The bedrock was actually a texture I did as a new cobble, but it ended up with too big stones, and looked bad on cobble walls and posts.
Items are DEFINITELY getting an overhaul next update. Terrible terrible items. I've hardly touched them since pack release over a year ago. Plants too. I did all stone stuff this update. Next one will be vegetation.
Great pack yourself, btw. One of the few I keep updated and look at to learn from.
I stumbled upon this texture pack a while ago. Now it is the only texture pack i use. Before, I never really found a good texture pack. They all had problems. I just stuck with the original texture pack. When I found Inspiration, I was extremely surprised at how beautiful it was. This is the only one I ever liked. This is the best texture pack ever. Keep up the good work

i have an problem when i use the texture pack.
every time at dusk and dawn the fps falls to 2 fps, after that it goes back to 50 fps
i installed optifine and after that MCPatcher's better skies schreenshots
For how long? This was a problem with MCPatcher a few versions ago. It was causing massive lag for about a minute or two at sunset and sunrise, but it has since been fixed. For me it still has a little skip when certain sky layers appear though.
If you're still getting the long lag, then Maybe you don't have the most recent MCPatcher version.
I don't believe Optifine currently supports the Better Skies mod, you'll need MCPatcher.

The texture pack would go well with this mod http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/798815-125-nightsky-v02-expand-your-universe/
Sadly it isn't updated yet
But im downloading anyway cause I love this pack already!

I second this. A banner showing off Tobi's skies would probably get more people interested; turn a few heads.
Unfortunately, I think he's a little busy with life and even then, it took awhile for him to put up his current
bannersbanner. :XTrue true. I'll try to get one in place for the next version, which will be released October 24.
Ha yeh, pretty gorram busy. Not so busy though that I can't take 5 minutes to make a better banner.
For whoever wants it, here's a snapshot of what I've done for upcoming v26.
v25e

Thanks. Sorry for the delays in updating to 1.4.
