NOW UPDATED FOR 1.9.6
November 12, update to version 11. Lots of improvements, and added some 1.9.6 textures. I THINK it's compatible with 1.9 now. Many placeholder(default) textures being used, but there are textures there. Have I forgotten anything? Please tell me! And please tell people about my pack! Also, check out my YouTube channel if you haven't before: TobiwanK3nobi
P.S.: I need good screenshots of the pack in action, so if you've got some good ones of your creations or just landscapes and vistas, post them and I might use them in this original post. :smile.gif:
INFORMATION
Hi! My name is Tobiah, a.k.a. TobiwanK3nobi, and I've labored excessively to make Inspiration a contender among texture packs.
Inspiration is a texture pack designed for people who like to build massive and realistic structures. The goal for this pack is to provide textures which are perfectly seamless and rich in color and detail so that your architecture looks as lovely as you hoped it could. I've thrown all my creativity into this so I hope you like it.
To do:
The rest of the mobs
Character armor models
Wall art

I've devoted approximately 750 hours of work to the creation of this pack over the course of about six months.

If I were getting paid(local) minimum wage for those hours, it would equal about $6000.00. Fortunately for you, the pack is free to use. If you would like to make sure I receive compensation for my labor of love, please spread the word about my YouTube channel or this texture pack. Tell all your friends, please!

I have a YouTube channel. Check it out for interesting architecture, let's plays of Minecraft and various other games(in the future), and updates and art videos(mob skinning) relating to the texture pack. TobiwanK3nobi

I had very little prior experience in digital art before I started this pack. I learned by scrutinizing the excellent works of Doku, Glimmar, and John Smith.

I use Photoshop CS5.

WHAT'S NEW
v11

New diamond ore

New diamond block

Modified all diamond items to match new diamond color.

New cobble and mossy cobble

New netherrack

Changed soulsand

New mushroom biome stuff - all giant mushrooms textures, mycellium top and sides

New lapis block (made it in 5 mins just before this release, so if it sucks, that's why XD)

Changed crafting table top

Changed wood planks. Good or no?

Changed brick. Much better.

New bedrock

Added nether brick. Probably will change later. Supposed to look like bronze right now.

Added enchanting table

Added nether wart. Eyeball stalks. :smile.gif: Pretty cool concept I think, but needs work, as it blends in too well with soulsand right now.

Some changes to water, still needs improvement. :sad.gif:

Removed custom fire textures, as 1.9 breaks them. I'll have to do new ones later I guess. Le sigh.

Uhh... changed sand and sandstone some. Bleh.

As usual, there's probably more, but I can't remember.
Previous Versions

New stone

New wood planks

New chests

New glass

New netherrack

New soul sand

New stone slab - tell me if you think it should have divisions on top, or just be smooth.

New diamond icon

New iron block

Changed all iron items to match iron block - no more dark iron, all is bright and shiny

New sandstone - good, no good? lmk

New ice

Changed biome colors to default because there were still saturation issues in certain biomes. I'll make another custom color spectrum later.

Changed bed a little

Restored 128x mobs, with some brightness and saturation changes
v8

New creeper and zombie - decided to take the mobs down to actual 32x to fit the pack. If you preferred the 128x skins, don't worry - I'll be making them available in the customizer later.

New grass

New spruce wood

New sign

Biome grass color changes (no more poop colored grass)

Minor changes to the boat

New sandstone, but will be properly attended to in v9

Brightened and desaturated planks some more.

I THINK that's all. Don't worry, if the texture you have a problem with wasn't changed, be sure that I'll get to it in the future. Working hard on getting the customizer worked out too(it requires a lot of tedious and time-consuming texture selection, isolation, and uploading).
v7

Made lots of textures brighter to make the pack easier on the eyes.

New wood planks again. Pretty sure I've found the right ones.

New glass

I'll get back to you. See, I stayed up all night to try and get the spider done. I failed. And it's about eight hours past my bedtime so I can't really think of what else I changed. :unsure.gif:
v6

New creeper skin! Very creepy.

New wood planks - much improved

New map texture and map symbols

That's all... I think.

P.S. Since I can't seem to get everything done that I wan't to get done every week, I'm going to start updating biweekly instead of weekly. So check back every other Friday. Next update will be on August 5.

Creeper texture

New iron braces on everything that has them - chests, repeaters, etc. - everything but iron door, which I didn't have time to do. I'll get it synchronized next update.

New netherrack, apparently. It was actually just a test texture, but it ended up in the release. Oops. Oh well, if many like it, it can stay.

That's all I guess. Just wanted to get that zombie texture out there.

v3

Using the primary link through Planet Minecraft helps increase the popularity, and thus the visibility, of my pack there. Also, I'm using ad.fly again. Thanks for your support! If you would really like to help me out, tell people about my pack! It's hard to spread the word about it when the only way people can find it is when it's on the first page of the texture packs subforum, which is rare.

-=* I support TobiwanK3nobi's Inspiration 32x Texture Pack *=-
I had to register just to tell you how damn awesome this modpack is. Everything in it looks like 64x textures, or maybe even higher.
And I always thought Minecraft wasn't about graphics. Well, screw that. You changed it.
It looks absolutely marvelous, doesn't increase GPU usage almost at all and it is just generally awesome.
Too bad I updated to 1.0.0. Now I can't enjoy your awesomeness for a while.
Either way, I approve this mod, totally.
:happy.gif: Wow. Glad you appreciate my work. I've updated now though, hope you like the new stuff.

jak'o lanterns, bricks, pumpkins and netherak dont show up as proper textures e.g. half of the pumpken looks like lava, netherak looks like a block of water.
and suggestions if it is possible could you pleease make the water and lava textures flowing that would be great.
either way fantastic texture pack man tbh i couldnt go back to the default now :smile.gif:

You need to use the patcher. Every texture is working fine.

It seems like a disproportionately large number of posts on this thread can be answered with a link to the patcher.
The link which is of course featured quite clearly in the install instructions. Maybe I should break down and do like certain other packs do; place a notice at the top of the thread talking about fire/portal on bricks, nether water, etc.

I'd add a note at the top of the thread and make the existing link text bigger.

Of course he is, he's just busy.
Be patient.
What was the purpose of quoting the ENTIRE OP?
Thanks for the pack! :smile.gif:
dont EVER reply to an op that takes more than a page to scroll through, please. it's very annoying.
on topic, i agree. this pack (and your buildings) are absolutely astounding. bravo, sir, bravo.

Thanks. :smile.gif: I took a more realistic approach to my textures. Each one takes hours to draw though. And redraw, and redraw...

Done!
Sorry it took so long. Very busy lately.
Thanks much. I updated the pack today, AND I've got a finished megabuild to post on my channel this weekend.
Updated! TY.

Or this. This could work too.
