Interesting. You can kiiiinda see my animation below it. Glad you like the stone. Honestly I feel it should be a little more 'realistic' and less 'rpg', but it's the effect it produces at certain distances that counts. At long range, it's a bit noisy but also pretty rough and stoney. At medium range it's perfect, nice and bumpy and cracky. But at close range the cracks just look too rpg. The quest for perfect stone continues.
It's a bit clearer in real life, YouTube compresses my videos after uploading so you lose some of the finer detail (having a partnership stops this). You can mainly see the glistening from your animation.
Yea I can see your still not 100% finished with the stone. I'm sure you'll get there eventually :biggrin.gif:

Nah, having a partnership doesn't stop video compression. Mine still get compressed - everyone's do. YouTube has to convert them the the standard format.

I swear something changes.. A friend of mine uses the exact same render settings as I do, with the same program (Sony Vegas 10) and after he got his partnership his videos became clearer... Ah well..
Point is, YouTube took away some of the detail which I can see in my pre-uploaded copy of the video :smile.gif: I like your water without the shaders too, as the shaders aren't updated for 1.8 yet. So non-reflective sparkles will have to do :wink.gif: The glint you added really adds depth to the texture
lol.. this guy posted 3 months ago... the pack has changed numerous times since then. when he said too bright he meant the colours were too overly saturated. Also the game only got an in-game brightness slider in 1.8 (a week ago not in June )
read this post, Tobi has definitely sorted this post :tongue.gif:
Still loving the pack, just needs the mobs, armor, compass, watch and records and you're done! :wink.gif: oh.. and paintings...
This pack is AWESOMEEEE, all i have to complain about is the tools.
I feel they could have been better, but i guess you slightly rushed them in and worked on making everything else ABSOLUTELY PERFECT.

Thanks for being my thread moderator and shutting down all the noobs slothy. :tongue.gif:
Yep, I'm trying to get all those done before MC beta ends.

Yeah I did all the tools in just a few hours, right before I release v1. I'll try to redo some of the crappier ones, especially stone sword before I put out v11.
love the texture pack but i miss the old stone D: :dry.gif:
Tobi is still working on the Stone texture. if you go through all his different versions you'll find that almost every version has a different stone, wood and water texture, among others. Finding the perfect style is hard sometimes. Being a Perfectionist is a gift and a curse!
If it's that big an issue, download the older version with the stone you like (v8 I think) and swap it over in Gimp/Photoshop/Paint.NET
This texture pack looks great! Just that I doesn't like that I have to change some creature textures(creepers looks like vaginas and I don't like naked zombies). Something like the painterly packs customization is a lot to ask for but it would be awesome.
Also: he enderman texture should be faithful to the original minecraft.
1) Creeper is fine
2) He mentioned he will eventually clothe the zombie and pigman
3) Customizer support is planned
4) In case you didn't know, Notch designed the endermen around the the SlenderMan. So it's not a bad idea, a quick google is sure to creep you out :wink.gif:
Amazing what reading the thread does, even if you only read Tobi's posts.
Thanks for the great pack! You've probably heard this multiple times before now, but do you have any idea about when you'll be able to update to 1.9 textures?

My guess is that the pack won't update until the Official release of MC 1.9
Mainly as Notch/Jeb are still adding stuff. Eg, the Dragon Notch has been tweeting about lately. Also I recall Tobi has other things he is working on with higher priorities atm.

Yep, Slothy down there is right. I don't like to update until the official release, because they could end up changing mob models, or changing the way certain textures work, etc. I don't like to make extra work for myself. Plus I've been playing a lot of BF3 beta recently, instead of working on the pack. XD

Hi-five sir. You've been the most faithful supporter of my pack. It's because of the few like you that I haven't just up and quit.

No worries Tobi, I know you spend very little time on the forums, so quashing the endless "DO IT NAO!" comments before they occur helps make your occasional visits a little less of a strain :tongue.gif: There are a few threads particularly in the mods section which are just overflowing.
It's the combination of clean, professional and befitting textures, and your refreshing YouTube content that keeps me happy.
I will wait as long as it takes for the new update... It's be awesome if it had mod support, but hey, It's nice to have someone who cares about how the actual pack itself looks. And BTW, You play BF3, but I play my ass off for GoW3

did you repatch after updating to 1.8? updates undo any mods/patches you apply :wink.gif:

No worries :smile.gif: You should see how bad the Water Shader thread is.. 3 weeks ago there was about 12 pages. Theres now 148 :blink.gif:
Always glad to help out. The less you stress on the little things, the better your pack will be :wink.gif:
