Yeah this makes water look much more realistic. What about flowing water? I don't see any of that. My gpu cant handle this mod anyway. It drops me down to a very unstable 30-50 fps.
Flowing water is still very much a work in progress. Thy way I have the mod configured atm, flowing water is pretty much clear. With a slight hint of the original flowing texture coming out. I'll grab you a screenshot later tonight. Pity about the framerates. I still get around 130 so I'm ok :smile.gif:
PS: For others reading this, this isn't my mod :wink.gif:

And here is the example of flowing water, nothing amazing...

Yeah bleh that doesn't look good at all. My water is much more interesting than this mod, I feel. Of course, 1.8 seems to have broken my water animations. :sad.gif: Hopefully it's just because MCPatcher isn't compatible yet.

I read on the MCPatcher thread that it was compatible with the 1.8 Pre-release.. Haven't tried it yet, but they say it should be...
Don't know how I missed this.. but I found a bug with the Torch Texture. It seems to only be present with certain mods (like the Water Reflections Mod, or GLSL Shaders)
There is one semi-transparent pixel in the top right of the texture square which appears when applying shader mods:
WARNING: 1920x1080 images.
To show the pixel is visible in the inventory bar as well as when handheld and placed

Just might be worth looking at in future if Notch adds transparency support :smile.gif:
EDIT: RedStone Torches have same pixel (i guess you copy/pasted?)
Hmm. Interesting. I try to be very thorough, but rascally pixels slip through once in a while. Thanks so much for letting me know about this. I'll fix it right now.
all the new textures look great! I haven't seen the 1.8 textures though. I'm waiting for the official release... new torches actually look like torches! :laugh.gif: and the new sheep is hilarious!! keep up the good work

Glad you like them. I agree with you about waiting for the official. Messing around with these pre-releases just dilutes the initial fun of final 1.8. Unfortunately I had to participate in them because people were begging me to update the pack. And the torches - yeah I had to change them. The lanterns just didn't look right with the new lighting system.
Awesome pack! I have this thread bookmarked so I can check for updates! :laugh.gif:! This texture pack is like music in my eyes! I stopped using it when i started 1.8 pre-, but now i can use it again!

I tried the 1.8 pre-release just for a quick look, but I wasn't overly excited enough to want to actually start a proper world with it.
Waiting for full release too :smile.gif:
I like what you did with the change in textures too. Stone fits in a bit better now.
Love the new Water animations too. I also managed to make the WaterShaders look a lot better (There was a minor update to the shaders too)

Yeah, sorry for the 'late' update. I kept thinking I was pretty much done - but then I kept finding more stuff to do.

Interesting. You can kiiiinda see my animation below it. Glad you like the stone. Honestly I feel it should be a little more 'realistic' and less 'rpg', but it's the effect it produces at certain distances that counts. At long range, it's a bit noisy but also pretty rough and stoney. At medium range it's perfect, nice and bumpy and cracky. But at close range the cracks just look too rpg. The quest for perfect stone continues.

Yes, you can do that. Thanks for actually making the effort to ask and not just do whatever the hell you want like most of the internet. *bows*

I hope you like it! I worked sooooo hard. Still so much to do though.
