Does anyone know how to re-texture the torch flame? I've been looking all over, but I have not found any solutions.
*Update* Found the particle.png only changes the smoke, and I had placed it in the wrong folder. That file only seems to include one row for me (the smoke), so if there is a better template for the flame let me know please.
yes it is in the particles. make shure you change it in terain aswell though. and dont forget. use a program like photoshop
Hmm...you said change it in terrain? Are you referring to the torch? Anyways, I used GIMP when changing the particles with a transparent background (so that should not be the problem).
Despite this I'm still getting the original flame....

Go into your minecraft.jar, and find particles.png. All the particles are stored there. There is another particles.png in one of the folders which is junk. Do not confuse the two. The one you want is in the base directory, alongside terrain.png.

Oh thanks! I guess I was trying to use the junk particle.png file. :biggrin.gif:

Look in the particles .png
I already modified it, and the changes aren't showing up.
It may be the fact I'm trying to add colors (which the normal file didn't seem to allow). *Edits first post to include*
