This giant tentacle thing suddenly lights up as a giant cyclopse with a huge burning eye and shoots fireballs at you
I do think if you really want to tweak it then a suggestion would be to have the eye open constantly [and not on fire, a big creepy cyclopse eye] then have it open wider and turn to the flaming red one it is currently
Another Pack I use thats a 32x, the guy spent over 20 hours on the water animation alone.. and it really shows.
Wait until you can really sit down and get into it, the animations can be a real headache to get right.
EDIT: Also I will take a look at your update later when I get the time :smile.gif:
The update is looking mighty fine!
Flip! I really must be the slowest artist on these forums. Having put off animating stuff for months I thought I'd better tackle it during a break from the forums...some 40 or so hours later I just about got the 'still' water done! I daren't tell you how long flowing water has taken, it would just be laughable, I'm currently working my way through lava, and it's the most frustrating experience I've had in Minecraft, but it's great for taking your mind off other things. When you do get round to animating stuff, just make sure to have a punch bag round to vent some steam! :biggrin.gif:
I also just want to thank you for your recent support, 42and19. I've been very grateful for your looking in and looking out for my pack, etc. and didn't want to pass up on saying thanks while I'm still around. With regard to the 'licence' ruling that was sprung on us...due to lack of time, may I re-use the licence wording you've very elequently put together in your OP to cover me whilst I have time to consider what's what?
Thanks for the comment :biggrin.gif:. Yes, the licencing is free for anybody to use. I think I may have borrowed it from someone else anyway. It is my pleasure to look out for a piece of work suck as steampunk. I really was worried about the deletion policy. Apparently, though, it wouldn't have been a permanent deletion. I really think the original announcement could have been worded much better.
In regards to the water. I am running an experiment. I created a waterfall last night with Blender (3d design program) and rendered out about 30 frames with the most neutral perspective possible. I am going to crop and resize the images down to 128x and see if I can use them for a water animation if it works I am going to do that for fire and lava as well. Obviously I will touch them up in photoshop to blend them with my pack. We will see. This will either be a colossal waste of my time (render alone took 5 hours) or turn out really, really well.

Think I am going to work on water/lava/and fire animations next.
See what I did THAR?
lol yes, and you are right. I think that is what aageon was trying to point out a while ago.
I am going to put aside the water for a but. It is a tad more complex than I though it would be.

Hope all is well with you and yours.
