EDIT: My topic was posted three times by accident... could a moderator delete the rest, please?
I've begun to edit the foliage and grass (color) files, but am having some difficulties... firstly, it's just confusing. Just one big triangle with a wide range of hues; how do they interact? I'm aware it relates to temperature, hydration, etc. but which colors affect each designated hue (for either the foliage or grass)? I've done countless experiments, but each time it just looks awkward.
This was my latest attempt:
Using the above template, you can now see the... erm... "awkwardness."
The oddly contrasting colors are driving me insane, and I have no idea how to fix it. Help, please?
Before you posted that i was going to say "Spammer reported" Since you posted 3 of the same thing but now i know, (P.S Wrong place) DUN DUN DUUUUUUUUNNNNNN
*Phew*
Wait, which section would it go in, then? Mapping and modding (discussion), or something related?
This is actually the right place seeing as though it's texture pack related!
As for your problem, try adding a tiny blur effect and trying it in-game. That should fix the problem and if it still persists then maybe you have some random dark biome of doom. Yeaa..... :tongue.gif:

... I think you're on to something, sir! Worked perfectly. Of course, now I just need to figure out what's going on in those red circles...

The grey grass sides are caused by bettergrass (i'm pretty sure!) which is an option you need to untick as you're patching the game.
The blocks are because you don't have either a flower or long grass texture in your game so it's using the block in the place where either of those textures is supposed to be! :smile.gif:

Hm... it's strange, because there seems to be grass/flower textures...
Perhaps my .jar is corrupt, it didn't patch correctly, or it just... "didn't work"?
Above the cactus is the dying sapling plant thingy.
Above the clay is the fern-ish texture.
Above the dying thing is the tall grass.
Above the fern is your grass (very top left texture pasted here)

They're right above the Cactus top and Clay (I think).
Above the clay is the fern-ish texture.
Above the dying thing is the tall grass.
