This is my first topic post so here it goes, I've been trying to make a texture pack but I haven't really been happy about the results. I just really need someone to tell me how to make an HD texture pack (32x32, 64x64, etc.) I am trying to make an RPG Pack, just saying.
So if anybody knows how (I know alot of you guys know how) to make an HD pack please respond to this post and I need it step by step, provide pictures if you want to. Also, I am using GIMP.
Make it bigger, i.e. resizing it to fit the resolution of your choosing.
For the terrain.png:
[Resolutions]
16x16 ---> 256x256 (size of terrain.png file, 16x16=256)
32x32 ---> 512x512 (same principle; 32x16=512, 512x512 being the resolution of the terrain.png file)
64x64 ---> 1024x1024 (you get the picture)
You could also simply use someone else's textures as a template, so as to avoid all of the resizing (if that bothers you). Make sure it is a texture pack that features the same resolution, and just edit over! However, be aware of copyright privileges, and don't make your textures too similar to the textures of the chosen template.
