Sure, Pebble Paste may not be noisy. It may not contain much shading that doesn't stand out at all! This texture pack has more unique textures, and makes things typically less boring than default. This is not WIP by any means; a lot of work was put into it, and every texture has a new design to fit in with everything else.
What do you think you would get if you mashed up gravel? Would it be sand? Most likely! Would you add water to make it less of a powder and more of a compound? What an absurd idea, but what would you get! Would it have shading, texture to it? No! Would it be unique, original? No! You get pebble paste, and that's pretty much all it is thereafter! But then add food coloring to it. You get a wonderful world in Minecraft with this texture pack.
Any feedback, suggestions, screenshots and/or anything else that can help be would be much appreciated.
~For some reason, I don't see the top of the water. Maybe it's just me. But I thought someone had removed my water when I first logged on.
~The wool is nicely colored, but I'm a wool-builder-type person. It looks good on pixel art, but it makes buildings look.. Odd. Maybe add an edge to them. Or not. Your choice.
~Maybe make the sand more tan then yellow, I had it confused with sponges for a sec.
Good pack, can't wait to see it later on when it has all it's tweaks and fixes.

1) I wanted this texture pack to be all vanilla, no mods required, so no water/lava/portal/HD textures. I got rid of the water texture because I didn't know that the HD texture fixer required those textures to render water. I will put those back in :ohmy.gif:
2/3) Thanks for your input, I never really did notice how bright the sand was originally. I did kind of go lazy with the wool.
One thing I should point out is that I did start editing items.png and made the swords, but then I got tired and kind of forgot to revert them(for the current version) so they don't look odd with the other default items.
Version 1.1 is out. I would appreciate more comments on the texture pack!
Anyways, here's the list of changes:
• Took CanadianCellist's advice, those three things are changed.
• Modified particles.png
• Edited the items folder. The boat doesn't look too good, in fact! But I don't care, maybe I'll make it look better sometime latter.
• Retextured tools.
In 1.2, you can expect armor and some art as well.
This particular thread was not loved or cared for like the other ones, and died a horrible death when it was young. And now I would like to raise the zombie up out of it's grave :tongue.gif:
If you're reading this and hadn't known yet, I've been working on it privately ever since it died.
It's updated to 1.8.1, 1.9 pre, and RC2.
