Great concept, not a big fan of your textures but I like the idea.
In case you want to know, I don't like them because it is not my thing really. I don't know if I could give you anything more constructive, but I wish you well. :biggrin.gif:

I just tried the 512x and I got a little lag but still playable. My fps was around 70-90 and i only have a i5 processor and I have allocated 6gb ram to MC.
That's very interesting, it may be because of the different processers, but it probably has something to do with our video cards. I have a 1gb 5730 ATI Radeon video card.
Sorry for my lack of response, I have just now returned from a week-long vacation.
is anything other than the terrain.png going to be released? It would be great to have some epic matching tools with this. And i hate having x16 tools with x512 graphics.

So true but we gotta wait, he still hasn't completely finished the terrain.png

You cannot build a "wall" for yourself, only for others.
Anyone know how to get the 512x texture to work, My system rapes so its not the system which has an i5 2500k, 8 gigs of ram and 2 GTX 570's in SLI...
ur system rapes except for the proccessor.
i7 2600k ftw 8 threads!
lol but use optifine or mcpatcher and use the terrain.png.
also u have to make a bat to load up 2gb ram for minecraft. read the last few pages on the lb photo realism thread for how if u dont know.

Gaming wise theres no different between the i7 2600k and the i5 2500k since no games use hyper threading and I dont do alot of video editing or use programs that would take advantage of the hyper threading so I saved 110 =)

I tried out the 512x512 texture pack and it was decent. You should swap out the torch and flowing water animations with something better. The torches are white and cover up too much of the flame and the flowing water doesn't look very flowing at all.
I'm aware that this is only the "terrain" file but it's been incomplete for a while and I'm not sure why it hasn't been released yet.
Amazing.
