- First, congratulations for your TexPack. So far, my favorite as it keeps Minecraft gamey looking with a twist of finesse and fun at the same time. I enjoy the photo-realism packs but they don't feel as right as a more cartoony one. Minecraft4kids is great but not as good as yours.
If I had one thing to complain about your pack, is the textures of the lava and the water. I think that for those you should have kept a more realistic texture, or at least with less "shaped" textures. I got around it by changing the animated water and lava PNGs, replacing them with files from another pack and it looks great.
Also, I'm am convinced that your pack would be greatly enhanced with new foliagecolor.png and grasscolor.png files. The colors so far are too similar. More changes would be great like more red or yellow leaves. But this is leading me to my second point
- Second, regarding your poll on top of the topic, where are you up to with this? Are they alternatives available? Have you got a website allowing us to create custom texpacks?
- Finally, the fact that pureBD is compatible with randomobs is a winner! Is it actually working with lower resolution such as 16x or 32x? Or only from 128x?

Thanks for reading
The water and lava animations (still and flowing) are on my todolist... However I don't have enough time for it currently...
About the alternative textures, some are already available if you go in the old versions. I will make new ones also. For the site, I will do one, but currently it's the beginning so I don't have anything yet.
Finally, about the randomobs, I support this Mod for all the resolutions of my TP. So all already made Mobs are int the 16x, 32x, ..., 512x! :wink.gif:
Another point, just to make sure you feel harassed ^^ The game is coming close to final release and GLSL Shaders (and probably other shaders) will probably be up to date as well. Any chance of pureBD (or any of your future TP)being compatible with a shader mod?
ok so i really wanna install this texture pack and i have installed every type and the only one that worked (as in the others had random fire and portals on em) was 16x but its soo pixely and it sux so how can i fix this?
Doesn't work....installed using latest MC patcher, increased allocated RAM to 2048, and using newest DBcraft version...
all that happens is minecraft starts up and goes to the menu screen (with the DBcraft texture) but no buttons or anything.
What am I doing wrong...
also I'm using a clean install of minecraft, no other mods
UPDATE: still no luck, deleted options.txt, got minecraft to start up again, tried increasing java memory to 4096
I'm getting a "minecraft has run out of memory" error when I first try to select the HD texture pack in the texture pack menu
UPDATE 2: ok the 256 pack works but 512 gives me out of memory error. I have 6gb of RAM....I've allocated 4096 for java in the MC patcher, should I raise that?
Update 3: I can get the 512 working by running minecraft via MCpatcher (i.e. using the "test minecraft" button). Is this a known issue?
I need some help here. I've installed the pack using the instructions and even reinstalled minecraft entirely and began again following the instructions to the letter, but no matter what I can't get Steve to update. Here's a screenshot:
This is my favorite texture pack ever and I hope it keeps getting updated with minecraft. I have some constructive criticism though. The GUI for the chests is too short for all the items to fit inside without being in the middle of the metal edge and it's hard to read where it says inventory and the chest size.
I've been a frequent reader of these forums for a while, but I never felt that I needed to say anything until I downloaded your texture pack a few weeks back. I've always been a fan of the photo-realistic packs, but it always felt wrong. Once I tried this, everything just worked. The textures are all seamless, the colors are bright and friendly, and it feels exactly how a Minecraft texture should. It's simply beautiful. It captures the childlike playfulness of the game, while maintain the smooth and continuous feel of an HD texture.
On top of that, your consideration of user input, support of an astounding number of mods, and your frequent updates on progress and continuation of the texture pack just makes this amazing. Not to mention the support for every resolution.
You deserve all of the praise you will ever get, and then some. Good work on an amazing pack.
Then, use a smaller resolution... You have the choice... :biggrin.gif:

awesome.

And doesn't Minecraft support HD Textures now? :/

As you can see, everything updated fine except Steve, who still has his old, vanilla skin.
On top of that, your consideration of user input, support of an astounding number of mods, and your frequent updates on progress and continuation of the texture pack just makes this amazing. Not to mention the support for every resolution.
