There's some sort of strange shenanigans going on with the chests. I'm using the both the most recent version of MCPatcher and the 128x version of this pack.
Anyone else having this problem? It's probably something really obvious and I'm just missing it.
I think it's a lighting bug caused by the chests switching to nifty new animated models after the update. I saw it too in my world. If you place or remove a torch nearby, the lighting will update to fix the error.
For anyone with a bug/problem with the texture pack, I think it might be because Minecraft updated again to 1.8.1, because when I used it when 1.8 came out it was fine. Now with 1.8.1 the stone blocks now have flames and a little portal on the corners, so that might be it.

If you update Minecraft, you MUST re-PATCH again with MCPATCHER. :wink.gif:
There are no other Mods installed other than the latest MCPatcher.
This is with the 128x version of Sphax.
By looking at those 2 screenshots, I think you've mis-installed the pack... READ the installation section, do not forget to patch your game with the very last version of MCPatcher and put the ZIP of the TP in your "texturespacks" folder!
When I use the 512x512 version it just instantly says "Out of memory" when I choose it.
1) I've already allocated a **** ton of memory to Minecraft, 100% of what it can use.
2) It's not my computer being **** because I can run the 256x256 version at well over 200 fps.

Any ideas?
How much RAM do you have? Do you have a x64 system?
The problem is that Minecraft is not optimized at all for HD textures because it uses spritesheets which need to be totally put in RAM... In 512x, this spritesheet is HUGE, so it needs lot of RAM.

I had few requests in regards to red brick and clay:
1. Can you make the mortar in between the bricks more of a sandy color, instead of lighter red?
2. Could you provide an alternate texture to the clay blocks, perhaps a cross between dirt and sand in appearance but terra cotta in color?
Thanks so much and keep up the awesome work!
I agree 100%
Clay looks weird to me, i'd much rather have it look like a terra cotta sort of australian clay color.
Also, i absolutely LOVE this pack! But there are 2 things i really don't like. (only 2 things in an entire pack, thats a first!)
1. The water looks a bit too sharp, and a bit stripe-flickery at a distance. Perhaps it can simply be rectified by having the two "stripes" be very very close in the color hue, so the overall appearance is softer and not so tiger striped.
2. Same but with the lava, i really dislike the lava. It looks more like red gems than sluggish flowing magma. Perhaps it can be rectified the same way, by having the different colors be a bit closer in their hue so the overall lava looks a bit softer. Or simply make the "red rock chunks" smaller so there appears to be more of a soft flowy mass in between.
Heck, even just having the dirt texture be tinted red might look sufficently soft-yet-sluggish.
I know you'll do alternatives, which i love! Just giving my 2 cents :smile.gif:
And in response to the above, I can't run the 512x either and i've got 6gb ram and force-running the 64bit java client.. I just stick to 128x for no stuttering. (i've got anti-aliasing forced too)
I wouldnt mind a non-easy simple alt-terrain.png while we wait for the easy customizer though. :smile.gif:
Oh, and a sandstone alt that looks more natural in the wild would be awesome too :smile.gif:
hey sphax i have some suggestions :
-make the door color match with planks
-the same with glass
-make glass borders thiner
-a new glowstone texture
-and i hate one of the high grasses (sorry :biggrin.gif: ),i mean this: http://sphax.imgur.com/minecraft__sphax_purebdcraft#j3Qlf
The texture pack was meant to be used with the wildgrass mod, so the tall grass actually looks very amazing when you have wildgrass installed. :smile.gif:

MY NAME ON MINECRAFT IS BREATHER!!!!!! IT'S ABOUT TIME I CHANGED MY SIG! BEST TEXTURE PACK EVAR!
I loved that one:
'5) Don't make alternatives and prefer spending your time for other versions of PureBDcraft like "ScifiBDcraft" or "MedievalBDcraft"!'
You should add an option in the poll for mod support, or do you not want to add more mod support, cos like I said in my previous post, mod support for Equivalent exchange would be so awesome, although I don't mind if you don't want to do it. Anyway this ha become by far my favourite texture pack! :smile.gif:
Don't worry, I'll always try to support mods as much as possible. :wink.gif:
Just tried to view some screens and download 128x128 and 512x512 to compare them and see if i like the pack.
Got bombed and spammed with hundreds of redirects and ADs all over the place.
Plz find a less "aggressive" host. No download and sure no donation for your host stealing my time...
Sorry for that. I'll try to find another better host but I'll continue to use adfly because the time you spend on it allons me to spend my time for making the TP. :wink.gif:

Ah, I see, makes sense, seems so obvious, and yet. I didn't try it :biggrin.gif:
I'll do alternatives textures. :wink.gif:
I don't know yet how I'll ditribute them however.
