sphax84 I'm going to need some advice here. I have gotten your awesome texture pack to work, however I lag so darn much it is unplayable. UNLESS I hit F3 and have that diagnostics screen up. Then it runs at over 60 fps and looks awesome. Only problem is I can't play with that screen open, it covers too much of the game, and the second I close it the extreme lag comes right back. What could be causing this? I need to fix this, I love this texture pack man!
hello, newbie here. i would like to ask if when would you update the 128x128 texture for some mobs(like the sun spirit) and the armor(obsidian set, etc, i also want to point out that i spent like 1 hour or something just to view ALL the paintings(specifically the "banners")but to my fail, i can't view it in the client, i know that its random, but looking for almost an hour is crappy.
About the paintings, all are not available if you don't install the MOD named "More Paintings - Xtrem edition" [goto] which also let you change the painting with a punch (that is easier to chose which one you want on the wall. :wink.gif: )
About the other texture of Aether, I don't know when I'll do them but I think I'll do some of them along the next updates. My goal was to customize most of them (all blocks and most items are already done).

If you don't use other MODS, try to optimize your Minecraft with Optifine. If it didn't work or if you can't use it, try using a lower resolution of the pack (64x if you used the 128x). :wink.gif:

I already use Optifine, and like I said, with the F3 screen open, the game works great, so I don't think it is performance issues. It has to be some other weird problem. Thank you for the response though.
Hey Sphax, minor issue with your pack. The folder for the Wild Grass mod is named "wildgrass." If the user tries to use this entire folder (as opposed to just dragging the .png files over), Minecraft won't start up (black screen). The folder name is case-sensitive, and it should be "wildGrass."
Like I said, it's minor but if you change that in the next release it might help people out.
Iv been using this Texturepack for quite a wile now. Simply love it and today i got the 1.8 version wich im using on the 1.7.3 and its working. I liked the new stone/cobblestone/sandstone textures and the new skins for armors, animals and the basic character.
Only thing i didnt like much was the Clay Block Texture. The Default clay block gives a very good concrete effect for buildings, the Sphax 1.7.X is good for the same purpse since it has a neat look wich made it even better for internal decoration. The 1.8 version of the clay block unfortnetly removed the possibility of the block being usable for constrution and decoration, making it only diferent from the sand for finding it and using as material to craft bricks.
For that reason once the 1.8 version of the game comes out i will be swaping the clay textures on my own texture pack for personal use.
:biggrin.gif: Hey, sphax, just wanted to let you know that I watched the ign video of notch for 1.8 again to day, and i noticed that the minecraft is different and is the same font that you USE for this texture pack! Either notch really liked the font that you used, or it was just a coincidence! (personally, i wouldn't understand if notch dislikes this texture pack... ITS SO GOOD!)Any ways, i'm just gonna say... NOTCH APPROVES! XD

going hunting has dramatically improved since installing randomobs! all your alt's are awesome! thanx again for your amazing mod support. love your fan arts for more paintings, mobs for randomobs, aether, clay soldiers, zipline etc.. when i see you have done a new mod it encourages me to try it! everything you have done is great, no complaints fom me. expect a donation from me in 2weeks - you've well and truly earned it and much more!
oh and seeing that your randomob support is 20% done i look forward to more new additions. well deserved respect from me!

Going hunting will be even more fun once the update comes! From Notch's blog:
Four lines of code later, and animals now flee randomly after taking damage. Hunting animals suddenly became a lot more fun and morally questionable as pigs would storm off grunting and chicken (or whatever the heck they are) would jump into ravines.

I would really like to use this texture pack, but I'm having some trouble getting it to work. Running 1.7.3 on a Mac. Ran MCPatcher, patched the game with the two patches (no grass mod). When I get to the texture browser in game, Sphax PureBD Craft is greyed out. Looked around and it seems the only thing that would cause this conflict is another mod. So I clean installed (cleared all minecraft files AND redownloaded the .app flie straight from minecraft.net). Repatched, and still grey. I'm not really sure whats going on, but if I could get some help to get it to work, that'd be great. Your texture pack definitely looks like its worth the trouble.
EDIT: Just fixed my own problem. Bad .zip file. Works well now and looks amazing!
