Try using a lower resolution and see what happens. Does minecraft normally run fine when using a 128x resource pack?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
All the mods, resource packs and maps that I support all go in this awesome sentence.
I'm having some crash issues with the 512 version of your texture pack. Just so I know I'm doing this right, the Sphax PureBDcraft 512x MC17 zip file goes into the resourcepack folder UNzipped, correct?
Perhaps I need to try a lower res version?
Also, I installed Forge and I also have the TooManyItems mod in the mods folder, but it's not loading when I start the game. Does this have anything to do with the default profile I choose during log in?
Sorry, but I'm very new at adding texture packs and mods.
Everytime I try to go and use bdcraft.net I get an internal 500 server error. I tried clearing my website cache and using a different browser but still it doesnt work. Any ideas or is it the website itself?
Just thought I'd add a heads up: Some GUI elements are still missing for the Realms screen (remove/op player, specifically). Confused the heck out of me until I temporarily switched back to the default
Those missing GUI for Realms will be added in next update (when 1.8 will be officially released or maybe before).
This is my favorite Resource Pack of all time! After finding out how rotten flesh got renamed Zombie Brains with this pack I took textures from the Bacon mod patch then replaced (and renamed) porkchops bacon.
There's one thing that I need help with:
I have optifine with connected textures cut on, but it's not working even though I can see that there are connected textures in the resource pack file.

Unzipped? You have to put the zipped file into your resource packs folder. don't unzip it. Also I would suggest to try a lower res version like 128x (the suggested res) if your computer isn't really really good because one time i tried using the 512x version and my game crashed trying to load it.

The black lines on the water in a weird angle seems to be related to OptiFine, will make a post on their thread later about this. It seems to also relate to the grass lines that appear above tall grass. Mipmap appears to be the issue, it's not only this texture pack.
PureBDcraft has been updated to for the latest Minecraft Snapshot!
(Snapshot 14w30c)
That update is a huge one (one of the biggest update of PureBDcraft). It adds more than 400 files to the pack... by adding, new 3D Models, flat anti-aliased HD items, repositions of ALL items, new textures, new random textures (without MCPatcher or Optifine), bugs fixing and many many more things to discover. The full (non exhastive) changelog can be read here: http://bdcraft.net/changelog-purebdcraft

I just bought minecraft yesterday day and I am looking for a texture pack.
Adfly is fine, just wait 5 seconds then click skip ad in the top right corner.
Also you said "mod", this is a resource pack.
why?
I was looking into this also. The only way to get around it that I found is just to use McPatcher instead of Optifine
On the bdcraft forums. When I want to find a patch I usually look up "Sphax Pure Bdcraft (Mod name)" on google and it will appear.
