Awesome !! I don't play the snapshots so I can't wait for 1.7 to release. The fish look so good and the vegetation is gonna add so much color to landscapes, I can't wait.
Same problem here! i can use any other texturepack just fine but when i try to switch to sphax it just sets to default.
^^
This. This is my problem exactly. I've tried both with Magic Launcher and Vanilla Minecraft launcher, it simply goes right to default. Any other resourcepacks work perfectly fine.

Try a lower resolution, optifine, or allocating more ram.

"Some may say I'm 10 pounds of crap, but I'd say it's more like 11 and a half..."
According to Norton, there is a trojan on the Sphax website. Can someone please confirm this? I love Sphax, but I love my computer's safety more. I notice the 1.6.2 version of Sphax still works so I will be using that until someone can confirm this.

Well the truth is that increased resolution might need better specs, but... animations and ctm are the real juice drinkers. If the pack doesn't load at specific res, a res that you have several other packs at, go into the folder and delete some animations or ctm that you can live without. Alternatively get a new computer or upgrade.
Sorry for bugging you, but you didn't explain how to install mod patches with detail. Yes, I've readed the Installation tutorial, but it only explains how to install the Texture pack itself, not the patches that texture other mods' blocks and items, and the such.
All you told us to do was to 'install the addon in the downloaded .ZIP file'. What exactly you mean by that? You mean I simply drag-and-drop the addon's .zip file into the main texture pack's .zip file, or I manually install each of the addon's textures in the main texture pack's textures folder? I need more information.
I can run 128x and 256x with optifine ultra with 16x anti-aliasing, antisotropic filtering, this is with max settings as well, it's crazy how it can eat 16gb of ram and 2gb of VRAM.. 512x with maxed optifine requires like a very high-end computer... lol..

How much actual ram do you have allocated? Having it in your system does not mean it is using it.
But I don't know why you guys have this problem I can download it easily without any problems
Try change your browser I'm using Firefox
I use Firefox, but had exactly the same problem as everyone else here, with Adfly telling me that the "File Not Found".
However, switching to Internet Explorer allowed me to download it.
I think it may be something to do with Adblocker? I run that as a standard plugin for Firefox on all my machines.
Hope that helps some people.
I'm sure it's great, but now it won't let me play! Every time I launch it, it says this:

PLEASE HELP!!!!
Neither one of the new trees are updated with the 1.7.2 version of sphax, I've downloaded 3 different packs of it (64, 128 and 256) and they all have the default texture for the new biome's trees.
It's just too much for any computer. Try 128x or 64x if you use Tekkit or any other Mods-pack like FTB.
