Any information on an MC 1.6.1 version? I couldn't seem to get Texture Ender to work. It seemed to have converted, but zipped or unzipped, it won't show up in the options menu in MC.
First of all, Love the Sphax texture pack. Even went through the trouble of patching it for all the mods I use (which is SO nice, I love having nearly all of the textures) and got the smaller versions for my 2 kids to use on their laptops. It's so nice to see someone putting so much work into the graphics, even though they are 128/64/32 or whatever. (Also, happy to help with art anytime! )
I tried converting with TextureEnder, and the application walked through the process, zipped it like normal and shows up when placed into the resource pack folder. However, when you log into the game, the only thing that seems to load correctly is the GUI. Kind of a bummer. Andyway, I was hoping that there might be some info out there from someone with more MC knowledge than myself (I'm still a bit fo a noob). If anyone can toss some suggestions out I'd be happy to try them to get it working. Thanks Fellow Minecrafters Looking forward to figuring out all the things with version 1.6

The only problem i can think of is that you are also using optifine because that won't work.

Please before posting try to read through logs and try find the problem yourself. At the top of your crash is says that you still don't have enough memory allocated to minecraft/java. Google "Allocating more memory to java" or something like that and there's a post on the minecraft forums about how to do it through the control panel and stuff

Give Java More memory. Your pc should be capable of running the 512x.

Stupid is as stupid does. Therefore, don't do stupid.
Can any of you actually say you have the 512x working? I gave java 4gigs of ram and it still made MC crap itself.
EDIT ~
I gave Java HALF of my ram which is 8GB and it still crashed, I think something is not right, or the BAT file is not working.

I don't see my PC being inferior, I am doing something wrong. My java is the latest, my OS is 64 bit. I don't think the ram is being allocated.

The texture pack is still there unless you deleted it yourself. It should be in the "texturepacks" folder as pre-1.6.1 used that. Just use Texture Ender (just google "Minecraft Texture Ender") to convert the texture pack to a resource pack, and it should be good to go. It works perfectly except for the clouds are a little messed up, but that doesn't bother me any.

x128 runs fine, I used MCPatcher and changed Java Heap to 5120 = 5GB.
My Specs~
GPU - RadeonHD 7850 2GB
CPU - AMD FX-8150 EightCore 3.6 Ghz
RAM - 16GB
HDD - 1TB
PSU - 700W
I can max out BF3 with 60+ FPS, I can max out FC3 with about 30-40 FPS, I can Max out JustCause 2. I see no way that my rig is inferior or incapable of these graphics. Am I not doing the Java heap thing properly? Or do I need to do something with a batch file? I don't know squat about bat files. Well a little I do but not enough to make a useful one.
"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself" - Franklin Delano Roosevelt
EDIT ~
I gave Java HALF of my ram which is 8GB and it still crashed, I think something is not right, or the BAT file is not working.

Curse PremiumI really don't know why people try and run 512; it's just not worth it.
