yes but you have to have a 64 bit operating system and you need to allocate more RAM to minecraft. Scan up a few posts and there is a good tutorial on how to do that.

Fantastic texture pack, although I'm having some problems running the 128x version smoothly. I have a 64 bit system, I've allocated 2GB of RAM to Java, turned off all that video settings stuff (render distance, smooth lighting, etc), yet I'm still getting a good amount of lag in Single Player. Is there any solution to this?

I'm using 256x and I don't get any lag (Running on default ram)
Try using these settings if you have OptiFog:
Graphics: Fancy
Render Distance: Normal
Performance: Max FPS
Load Far: Off
Preload Chunks: Off
Smooth FPS: On
Auto Save: 3min
Cloud HIght: 100%
That's what I use and I get no lag and an average FPS of 80.
First of all, I love the pack, I love the way it looks different but has the same spirit as the originals, giving it a sort of original but familiar look to it. Me and my sister love the pack and we use it all the time.
Unfortunately, I have a request.
Sphax, can you please make the armor (or use placeholders, like another of my favorite texture packs), because the original armor looks out of place in this new colorful world, so can you please draw some armor.
This pack is fantastic! I love the style of it. It reminds me of a game like Windwaker, while still being original and its own style. I have to admit that I'm not a big fan of the clay or glowstone, as I'm the type that prefers more lantern-like glowstone and I've built a few houses out of clay, but I'll likely just see if I can edit them to my liking. (: No complaints here. I didn't think I liked 'cartoony' packs, but this has changed my mind.
The 512x gives me an "out of memory" error (don't know why since I have a 1GB HD 6950 and 4GB of RAM) so I am using the 256x pack. I get a solid 60fps with vsync on & max settings.

For the interrested people: more video and GLSL shaderbutchering
amazing that just looks amazing... i stopped using this shader mod at 1.5 when dax stopped untill mod api. but seeing this video of my fav texpack looking even more beautifull makes me install again now thanx. never seen moving netherrack/soul sand before now - simply amazing
here is the file for anyone with more than 6gb of ram to allocate 4gb to java. just put in folder with minecraft.exe (launcher) then double-click mc memory.bat .. this will enable you to use the 512x texture pack easily. also choose max fps in perfomance.
Ah, ok. I didn't know there was an official gallery :tongue.gif:
Wonderful! :smile.gif:

Your mobs sell this pack. Without them I would not be as interested.

Looks awesome!
I'll probably try to use the 256x version with the next version to not see anymore those ugly pixels through. :smile.gif:

do this for more memory for 512x
I use Ubuntu 11.04 but I think that I know what to do now. I'll run it from the terminal.
Thanks
Edit: it works
