How powerful computer do you need to run this in 512x ? I have 8GB ram and 256MB vram and Minecraft just crash when I try it. My friends computer with 16GB ram and 1GB vram can play it at 30fps, with 16x he has 130fps.
So, yeah, how much ram/vram do you need to run it smoothly?
8GB of Ram should be lots, just make sure you allocate a good chunk of it to Minecraft, I suggest 2GB. However, 256MB of VRAM, tells me you have intergrated graphics, which are sucky, compared to discrete video cards.

I have a 256MB video card and 8GB of RAM as well and I can easily achieve 40+ FPS wit the 128px version, even in a forest.
Here's the trick: use Optifine, stay in fullscreen and close as many background programs as possible!
Also remember to go through Optifine's settings and disable anything graphics-heavy that isn't gameplay-useful (like clouds).
i have a small problem with the texture pack : When i play the game with this texture pack i have white flashing particles on my tools ( Sword,Shovel, axe,Flint and Steel,Pickaxe and Hoe) anyone else has that problem too? i'm using x256 with optifine without any mod (i also tried it just with mc patcher but i had the same problem ) pls help!
How do i tell which version i can use (16x 32x 64x etc)
The recommended texture to use is x32 or x64 (Though x64 may be laggy ). You can use x512 but you have to use a really good computer otherwise = crash.

Same i get a File Type of ZIP&PKEY=031D6824058B5AD3B2CD72D6D274C05E File (.zip&pKey=031d6824058b5ad3b2cd72d6d274c05e) which is very confusing, because before hand when i downloaded the 32 it downloaded just fine.

I found a bug in the texture pack I think. On birch planks the sides of the block have an update tp image rather than the texture but the top and bottom is ok. This is on Optfine 1.3.2 HD Ultra B3 but I also found it on B2. Oddly enough it is fine with MCPatcher. On that same note though I checked a couple of other texture packs and they seem to be ok. This was Misa and DokuCraft Dark. Both looked ok. Turning off CTM is a workaround so I think something is up with one of the ctm property files. I'm working on narrowing down the suspect. Misa supports the newer CTM features.
EDIT: Looks like this was reported previously. Hopefully Sphax will come out with an update soon. In the meantime terrain214.properties gets the boot.
umm.. not totally used to having to patch and mess around with texture packs but recently my grass has a block of fire on it along with a blue block. and my water needs patching. is it just cuz of 1.3.2 or did i do something wrong?
Hey Sphax. Just thought I'd try and ask for the next update if you could possibly darken all the sandstone blocks. I find they blend in way to easily with normal sand. And for the smooth sandstone to make it smooth on the top and bottom too. If possible, that would be great. Keep up the great work.
Anytway really great TP, this has to be used as default! It is so good, it's totally in the game's spirit. It is the most complete TP for the game. All other TPs look like kid's work compared with this one...
I just downloaded the latest version and installed it but its still saying it.
Any ideas?
I would say start at 128x, if you don't get above 30 fps, then try 64x, and so on. Having a decent amount of memory and a good video card helps.
Go to the PureBDCraft forums.

Anytime you want, the topic title says 1.0 to 1.32.

Curse PremiumJust rename the end of the file to .zip, I think it was just a error with the name of the file when uploaded.
