I can't use the 512x512 pack because if I do I have a "run out of memory" issue...
I tried to set the JVM allocated memory upto 2048m but it doesn't solve the issue !
What can I do ?
So I am currently modifying Misa's Color data and Gradient maps to Sphax's Pack to make use of the new Color Mod possibilities. Below is a shot between 3 biomes including a forest, desert, and swamp. This is still not perfect but a lot better than blunt transitions of the default minecraft. I will release this after getting Misa's approval for using the Data and Gradients from the Misa's Realistic Pack. I know Sphax is pretty open to outside mod support work for the Pack but if there is any objection to this I will refrain from posting it.

Hello :smile.gif: I just wanted to say thankyou very much Sphax for creating such a brilliant looking texture pack, I played minecraft roughly around version 1.7 and stopped for what ever reason it was (probably a new mmo release) but have recently come back to it now that it's version 1.0 and I would love to use your pack again. Just one thing I noticed is that the pumpkin and jack' o lanturn has changed, I really loved the way you had it as a rune and I have tried my hardest to find out how to change it back myself (I'm not very good at this sort of thing) because I read in your patch notes you left it as an alternitive. If Sphax or anyone else with the knowledge on how to change that specific skin back I would greatly apretiate it!

Will you relaese ChristmasBDCraft also as 256 px pack?
If ChristmasBDcraft has some success and feedback, I'll maybe release it in other resolutions with some tweaks.
However, don't expect anything before Christmas now... I have my website to heal and my family to care. :wink.gif:

Hi! thanks very much for that! I still have a problem though, I am extreemly bad with computers, exactly what do I do after I've found the old style pumpkin on that link?
i have 6gb ddr3 ram (core i7 920, radeon HD6970 2gb). i allocate 4gb to java with the .bat file. (read faq)
i run the 512x pack with (cell-shader+waving grass,wheat and trees) glsl shader mod i get average 70fps no stutters, it just takes a bit longer to load (1-2mins).once loaded it runs great and looks beautiful.
My sister downloaded this texture pack and used it for Minecraft, but then we think that it made Minecraft run out of memory and crash. Now we can't access any of our levels, because every time we go on, it says Minecraft has run out of memory. Then when we try to delete this texture pack, it says we can't because "the folder is open in another program".
What does that mean, and what do we do?
Close minecraft, then delete the texture pack.
You obviously don't have enough RAM.

can u tell me what files to use? i see some in misc folder and the colour.properties, is that it? and will they only work with 64x? ..... maybe i'll resize for 512x see what happens.

Yep 64bits with 6go RAM.

in my view it is the best resolution and very worth getting running
