get the bigger paintings(4x4,4x3) is a matter of luck?
i cant get any big painting apart of the 2x4 map :sad.gif:
im using 128x
You must install the "More Paintings Xtrem edition" mod to use all the paintings in the "kz.png" file. This mod will also let you switch between paintings by punching them. :wink.gif:
Hi Guys! We have more than 560.000 downloads and I plan to release the version 0.9.4 (for MC1.9pre4) this week (with Ender Dragon, Blaze, Moon phases, Ender Portalblocks, maybe Magma Cubes and more)! :wink.gif:

Is there anyway you could make all the "villager" textures for like the smith, librarian, butcher, etc. fit the default char texture map scheme? I wanted to use those textures on some of the villagers from the Tales of Kingdom mod, but I'm not that great with texture editing.. And I wasn't thinking about how the villagers are modeled differently, and ended up with some scary looking floating twisted and warped things floating about.

See what I mean? Could you make the Villager textures match a Char.png template? So I can use them in the Tales of Kingdom mod?
There aren't enough hours in the day for Sphax do handle all the requests he gets...take matters into your own hands man!
Look at the one of the character skins and one the villager skins side by side and you'll easily figure what corresponds to what. After that all you'll need to do is some cutting and pasting and your favorite image editing software and you're good to go.
When I get a chance I'll post a template to show you what I mean.
So what you would like Sphax to do iis recreate his current villager skins as similar skins for a normal character model so you can use them with this mod? If so you should instead ask Sphax to provide support for the mod. However Sphax has a lot to do so you'll have to be patient and hope that they want to support that mod. If you aare impatientmany people could make that fix in an unofficial manner.
Ok I've had a chance to mess around with Photoshop so here's what I was talking about in my previous post (about 3 up from this one).
Here's a sample of one of the character textures included in PureBDCraft with each part of the body highlighted and labeled:
Most of it is self explanatory, except perhaps for the headpiece which simply wraps around the head so you can have a character with a helmet for example.
I looked at a villager in-game and to figure out what was what so here's the texture highlighted with each part colored the same as the corresponding part on the character texture (yellow for legs etc):
Now that we know what corresponds on each texture we can fire up our editing software and cut and paste the bits to get:
Or if you prefer something more human looking:
I have to admit that there was some editing involved since the villager model is more square and taller than the character model so the torso and head parts didn't fit exactly (like the arms and legs). The head was easy, all I needed to do was trim a bit from the bottom. The torso was a little bit trickier as it involved some re-scaling to get it to fit. I suspect that the back won't align perfectly but it shouldn't be too noticeable.
I want to point out that I'm not a graphic designer nor have I ever taken a Photoshop class, everything I learned is self taught. I've simply spent some time reading tutorials and messing around with the program features. More than likely there's a better way to do what I did but but it works for me. So if you want support for your favorite mod instead of bugging Sphax get up and do it yourself.
BTW while I was messing around with the villager I realised the same could be done with armor, in fact it's much easier than what I did above since the parts all fit neatly. So you can get a character wearing leather armor for example:
Or just the cap and leather pants (or trousers ):
You can mix and match armors as well so you can get quite a lot of variety, especially since there are several different character textures available and you can also recolor the vanilla armors. The only issue is that unless someone has the skill to create female Minecraft will be a sausage-fest...at least at 128x
Perhaps if we all chip in and make PureBDcraft patches for different mods Sphax might find the time to make to character templates for us...like said females or guys without headbands (wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more, say no more)

Nice tutorat for beginners. :smile.gif:
I'll plan to release more characters (without band and with a girl) to allow Antoine create its own mix for mods with npcs... :wink.gif:

I think I'll probably make a .psd file available for download with separate layers for each option so people can customize their own characters.
It's nearly finished. :wink.gif:
