Minecraft is only going to use one of those cores at a time, no matter what until Notch finally realizes that people aren't just requesting he make the server software multithreaded because we think it would be worth the lulz.
Are you saying that 30-40 fps is bad? The human eye can't even see that high :tongue.gif: Anything above 29 fps doesn't make a difference lol
While 30-40 fps isn't really bad, the ideal frame rate is anything 60 and above in video gaming. You can definitely notice the difference between a game running in 30fps and a game running in 60. There is alot less blurring in a game that runs at 60 fps. The reason why anything above 60 is good is due to the occasional lag spike. If you are running at 100 fps and the game starts to lag you won't notice a difference because the fps will dip to around 60. However, if you are running at a steady 30-40fps you will notice a considerable amount of lag whenever you reach spikes. It is not true at all that anything above 29 fps doesn't make a difference.
I like your texture pack very much. Friend of mine told me to get this one on the first day I started playing, since then I have been looking for other texture pack (aside from Realism such as Misa's), I have not found any that I like any better than Sphax PureBDCraft.
I have noticed people asked several times about BuildCraft and IndustrialCraft2 Texture Pack, but not sure if you are avoiding those questions or just don't feel like it. I agree with many of those who ask the same question, BC and IC2 with Sphax texture pack would be awesome/superb/phenomenal/... well you get the picture.
I am tempted to go in there and alter/add texture for BC and IC2 but it wouldn't be fair since you did all the hard work and deserve the credit.
So my question would be, any chance you would at least take a glimpse at BC and IC2 and have a slow progress work on that, at least on the resources such as resource blocks or the pipes? I am sure many wouldn't mind waiting for new looks on the machines.
Thanks a ton for the texture packs you made.
I don't avoid those questions and asks for the support of Buildcraft and IC2 but unfortunately, I don't have enough freetime... I already do my best for this TP and for you who like and use it. :wink.gif:
Sphax,
Just wanted to give you my appreciation for this texture pack! The vector graphics are brilliant and it looks beautiful at every level. I don't use anything else anymore. Can't wait to see Better Than Wolves support. ;D
PuppetRebel
This is pure amazing. It takes away the aspect of Minecraft that makes it "Too Blocky" but does not go as far as to destroy the feel of the game like some texture packs or mods.
For texture packs with custom animations: Existing custom animations will not change, but as an experimental feature, you can now make any tile in terrain.png or items.png animated
total friggen NERD-GASM!!! ANY TEXTURE ANIMATED. man the prospect this has is unbeleivable i always hoped this would happen. yay for minecraft and sphax84!!
sphax i sincerely LOVE your texture pack, i found it like 4 months ago, and dude... never found a texture pack that i like more thatn yours!! i tried doku's, realistic, fatihful, idk a lot of them and none of them makes me feel like yours does, it's amazing!

The human eye actually doesn't see in FPS. It has information on the location and assumed geometry of everything in your line of sight, along with color, and material properties. Your peripherals are just predictions based on whats around them. When you turn your head, or when something moves, your brains doesn't clear everything and fill in new "frames", it updates the parts that have changed. Motion blur is a side effect of your brain guessing whats happening, so you can see fast moving objects at all times.

It looks amazing, but not worth the choppiness.

It's a fast graphic bug in Minecraft. Use "fancy" graphic option to minimize this bug. :wink.gif:
