I'm trying to edit items for my 32x pack, but I only want to do weapons at the moment.
But whenever I try to double the size of the stock item sheet in photoshop, it gets all blurry! Help! I've seen other packs that are 32x and only have some of the items done, but they don't seem to have this problem. How is everyone resizing the items.png to 32 without going blurry?
Photoshop elements 9. What's really weird is that when I'm resizing the image, it does EXACTLY what I want it to do (making each pixel into four pixels) before I hit the okay button. But once I hit the okay button, PS makes it all blurry. I get that PS is made for editing pictures where you probably want it to do that (to make the resized photo 'realistic') but I want it to KEEP the pixelated look, not smooth it out.
You'll need to scale it in a vector-based program. Raster-based upscales will always get blurry. Open the image in something like inkscape, do a bitmap trace and then scale it to your desired size.

If you don't want the image to get blurry, make sure you have the resampling set to "Nearest neighbor".
For future reference.
