heh...I been having fun. This is a clip from what History posted he wanted in the other thread. Was supposed to be the spider I think...cause that's what it is labeled...
there's a bunch of stuff I did up now, the wheat is blue something, and bread is a syringe, flower sand grass are garbage, the diamond sword is more like 2 diamond batteries connected in a stick :biggrin.gif: my clouds are just complete coverage of green clouds with a few gaps, and green rain, with ash snow on the ground and in the air.
lava is a wonderful shade of nuclear green...
man, I got a job interview tomorrow so this might be all i got. oh and flint is the 2 pipe things that use to be wheat, and ear is the canteen, that was from before the garbage, i guess it should be a satchel.
the smoke is just dots, which kinda look like flies... but works well for the fire's smoke. i personally never liked the green bubbles. now it's more minimalistic
I did a cursor, and the trees remind me of lego trees. and oxygen is and O2 meter.
just need to fix reeds, and make sense why it gives paper, sugar and computer towers...

was fun... lemme know what you think.
Everything looks really good! At the moment though I just want to get the basics done, so I'm not editing too much stuff. But I probably will edit some stuff and add it to the pack in the next update. Thanks Halphprice!
I also updated the soundpack in the OP btw, good job on that!
That 4x4 vault painting looks great! I want to figure out how to incorporate that into the piston door design though. I think I saw a piston door design where the blocks were pulled back and to the side.
WEll I hope my pack can help you out some. When it comes to fallout i live breath die fallout. I've been there since fallout one first came out, and it was from watching mad amx I understood it so much.
anyways, croco cehck out the tracks, the trees, and the clouds in my pack specifically.
the garbage flowers was just to add some color and more as fun. i always rember the fallout games as having trash everywhere, so I enjoy seeing peoples gardens in non last day servers with piles of garbage all around.
also the dyes, i've been making them random parts of simliar colors, thus making garbage more understandable to why parts come out, and then they make machinery parts. last days should be functional for both RP and regular play.
but your clouds are like a cloudy day in minecraft, not like a post eco-system failure where trees can't even survive one.
[I love your GUI interfaces! you really are talented at all the new stuff you add, man. I'm glad your in charge, I have good faith in you.]

The tracks and clouds were actually the two things I was definitely going to add with the next update. They are very well done! The trees look cool, but are still too similar to the old ones for there to be a reason to change them.
The trash was a good idea too, but a little too distracting, if you see what I mean.
Maybe just as a replacement to a mushroom?
The dye will be random junk and stuff, I just want to replace it all at once, so people don't think the glass jars are intentional.

And thanks!
well i don't play on fancy, so to me the trees leaves look the exact same as the planked wood. it's not even a style choice, it's functionality, i can't tell which is which. and the trunks look almost the exact same. i love that texture wood for the birch, if you could come up with different trunks, with those leaves it'll be good. you need the pack to work in non-last day servers where people won't be confused.
i mean the trees grow from little containers so it's all well within theme. I personally adore it. the garbage, i dunno, but it makes more sense why junk comes from flowers. if you can do better, make the piles less blops of paint and more rubble looking it would be a step up. you're a way better artist.
[edit: you could look into making the furnace gui instead of a battery a lighting bolt like on the caution signs. be a bit more interesting, since after the first second it's just a block, also battery sign is used on portable devices mainly.
With that Wasteland Mod this texture pack really gives me the Fallout feeling.. lone, desolate, ruined, destroyed feeling... war, war never changes... :cool.gif:
Alright, so keeping the pine the same would be best, but the insides I dunno what to make them.
Also the sandstone I made it a sort of mossy stuff on the side with it being smooth. to have the top for pavement then layered block under is odd looking, on top of the blocks being crumbled it's not even that good for using them as a wall.

garbage is gravel is still my fave.
Plaster and rebar could work for the inside of the tree, if we're still using the idea that they're cheap models made as a reminder of what a tree looks like. Composite board if they're still supposed to be made of wood.

Yeah, I think that's the best way to go, if the pine had it's own custom top it would be easier, but as it is, all the trees fake would be the best way to go.
I changed mine back, changed the trunk colors to red, pale, and such. made the pine sapling red, and the birch purple :biggrin.gif:
made the inner trunk brownish with the rectangular tree slots in it. it actually looks pretty boss for wooden table or roofing all that stuff. I dunno. I'm just copying and pasting stuff, I know how to work contrast and hues well for images though. the key is to learn how to set your computer to the proper saturation and brightness level.
the hard part is making everything look washed out and de-saturated. but the splash of color in there subtly is much needed. if not color, then variety of shades and more importantly SHAPES.
I updated the bark a bit more, the color was too vivid for the pine.
and updated again to have the pine trees as complete pieces of horizontal wood. no need to have THOSE as broken, since it's implied it's machine made.
Toxic symbol on the cactus (as well as silver bottem and a different colored cap just to add a bit more detail to the look of it), and a different mushroom and phosphorescent mushroom, and a hatch you can see through.
I always think, ok I'm gunna stop ****ing with it, then I think of something. I really need to get back into starcraft.
I have to say this is rapidly becoming on of my favorite texture packs (after Doku's). However being a constant user of CTM ment I needed to create the needed texture myself, and I see no reason not to share it. I modified the glass, chest, and bookcase textures slightly as well.
Feel free to include it in the main pack if you want.
Sorry I wasn't on yesterday. Fathers day is extra big in my family, and starts one day early. I did manage to do some work, but I'll just keep that secret till the next update.

Very cool! Would you mind if I used a few of these? I think the details to the cactus were definitely needed. The mushrooms also look very cool. I may just keep the old trap door though, since its more bombsheltery.

Good job! I'll definitely add this to the pack, for all of those who use that mod like you. Thanks!

Heh, I see what you did there... Anyways, thanks! Btw, I'll work on getting all of the server/mod links up soon.
---------------
New Update released!
I don't remember all of the new stuff I added, so I'll just post the biggest the big things.
Other stuff I added includes...
- New stats GUI
- New particles (fishook by Halphprice)
- New icons
Enjoy! And tell me what you think of it.

Wasteland mod? What's that?
Also check me out on:

Oh, okay. Although combining this with it sounds a tad redundant.

Good job once again! You have a knack for this.
Yes, I was actually planning on doing that exact thing!
Good job! I'll definitely add this to the pack, for all of those who use that mod like you. Thanks!
Well, that's one less thing on my list. Thank you! I'll definitely add this. It looks very cool. :smile.gif:
