I suddenly got some skill at computer art, if you tell me what you want I can start to help out, right now I am working on making Strongholds metal so that they will be more like HIVES, but that can be put on hold if you want someone to work on blocks and the main stuff.
Keeep at it, there's nothing that can't overlap. just do whatever you want, the textures for terrain are probably the most important to start with then items and mobs. I want to redo the gui's tho, most of them at least. but todo the gui's i ned to do the table and brewing stand first, to know what goes with each.
oh man I just cannot wait, this is gonna be the greatest texture pack ever made
that's always been my goal. just because if it isn't the greatest, then my sound pack will be for naught. sort of weird, the more i do the more i invest, the more i want this pack to be the best.
got a couple of ideas for the brewing stand done, and the more i look at the mushroom land tile being slightly irradiated the more i want to make MATmosphere a standard part of this.
What are the blaze and blaze rods going to be though? I have an idea for them but I want to make sure I don't throw anyone off the track when we seem to be rolling along quite nicely.

Blaze rods could probably be radioactive rods Or something
I have an idea, what if you made the enchanting table a hologram, like you see in all those sci-fi movies, that would look cool and effectieve, because then it would just leech the files from the filing cabinets, or you could make the bookshelf into a server shelf. I have no pictures but I just thought that would be a good idea, thanks for reading.
That, and it could work well with the floppy discs, because you could be using them to install different programs and such.
Edit: This is why I should check all the pages before I comment, I looked back and I saw a similar post with the same idea. :sad.gif:
Blaze rods could probably be radioactive rods Or something
I was thinking something a bit more involved that just a random radioactive material. For instance, helium-3 because it's a key componet in fusion reactors and the moon is supposed to be rich in helium-3 and the blaze could be robots programmed to gather it and refine it by spinning it around at high speeds, removing the impurities. However they could also be outfitted with a defense system to take down anyone trying to infiltrate the lab (nether fortress) or steal the helium-3. Upon obtaining a rod of helium-3 though, the player could use it in the construction of a distilling stand, whereby they could use the small but ever present energy generated by the rod to react certain substances down into a form where they could mix with water. If taken and crushed into a powder though, the powder could be used in the same distilling process as an ingredient itself, where it's own innate energy would cause the water to take on qualities of a steroid, increasing the drinker's strength temporarily. If the powder were mixed with a portion of insulating slime and distilled, it would allow the drinker to traverse radioactive waste safely by creating a forcefield that would take incoming particles and fuse them together into heavier, non-penetrating particles while the slime protected the drinker from the intense heat given off by the waste. Lastly, if powdered helium-3 were injected into one of the devices worn by the so called "endermen", it would essentially activate the device as well as giving it a target. As "The End" is located on one of the remaining chunks of the moon in orbit, the device would take the helium-3 and actively try and seek out more of it. If released, the device would attempt to locate a gateway to "The End" and hover towards it phasing through solid matter if needed. If a player were the one to obtain this device though, they could re-program it to only hover a short distance before disengaging and falling to the ground where it could be retrieved and reactivated. Unless the player is a master programmer though it is unlikely they will be able to fully disengage the emergency teleport system in the device whereby the "endermen" teleport if in presence of a threat and the device would be liable to spontaneously teleport directly to "The End" instead of using the gateway. If a player manages to locate a gateway however they would be able to use multiple of these devices to provide power to the gateway and enable travel to "The End".
...
Whoa...
...I did not expect that to turn out as long as it did, but it would seem that I do like explaining things. I hope this can help with the lore but I was worried about tossing another idea into the pot when it seems that we're finally rolling.

there's a CTM of the bookshelves showing that they are indeed computer, stuff...
as for a hologram it would be like an old 60's sci-fi hologram, monochromatic and just lines.
man, it's funny how my generation saw the rise and fall of floppies.

harvesting helium-3 prototype machines that gotloose and harvested to the max, and start short-wiring. the rods make good stands to power the stand. I wouldn't say a forcefield from slime, just a sort of genetic resistance to burning radiation. make it more liek bio-shock. i figure almost everything from the stand will come in tubes. make the ender pearl to power a isotope detector (ender eye), for mass amount of helium-3. nice idea. overall. i was actually wondering about what to do with the ender eye, that helps a lot. helium-3, love it, like the movie MOON.

Never saw MOON, only the synopsis for it, and to be honest the synopsis is the only reason I know about helium-3. But anyways, games like Bio-Shock and Fallout are your areas of expertise so I trust you to adapt the ideas to suit the proper style, I never played any of those games, the realm of fact is my domain. :biggrin.gif:
Hey Halph, you should upload what you already have done for 1.0.0
man there's so much stuff I'm trying to still figure out which is which. i got the stand done the moon, and still trying to figure what's what. it's slow happening, not much of a plan, you just start on the easiest stuff and work your way up.
there's no way you can say that I've got it uploaded to 8 different sites using multiupload. i get no cash for it, and if i did it would be better if i just used one. this is for your benefit, not my convince.

oddly the realm of logic and reason are my domain, this other stuff only comes with it. if you can imagine it, i can make a logical reason for it. some call it troll logic, others call it Dungeon Master's complex.

I call it something nice when it comes to working with someone else, a complementary skill set, so to speak.
Glitched out hearts? Similar to how they are in the regular pack, but with some of the little lines missing from them. I can see how that would put a bit more stress on the player by itself, the idea that your health might not be as stable as it seems.
Really really cool. Don't really like it in practical use but there are some adventure maps where it looks really great. Really respect how much work you put into this, very unique. Good job
Not meaning to constantly post, but water in swamp biomes looks really green and grass is a sexy purple, dunno if it was on purpose but either way it looks amazing. The biome color is from Halph's foliage color, and grass color in the customizer.
And here is Stone brick, Mossy brick, and Cracked brick
The Cracked stone brick looks kinda bad, I need help with that.
There are already textures for those last I checked, I don't think you need to worry about those unless you want to do something special for the mossy and cracked brick since they only appear in strongholds.

You honestly have to be willing to do a little single player RPing to really use this pack well in single player, I've been getting lucky in my world because it's presented so many unique areas to manage to fit perfectly into the Last Days lore (massive craters FTW!) but you kind of have to force yourself to play Minecraft differently if you want to use this texture pack because anything that looks half decent in Last Days will probably look ridiculous in the default texture pack.
