omfg, 1 was brilliant, you can't go through fallout 3 without being a gunner (in that slow motion freeze frame shooting style) but fallout 1 you could be a wordsmith or a thief or scientist and harvest quite well in the game. i remember going through the game first few times never using any heavy weapons even... good dialogue system, but again this was back int eh time when starcraft 1 first came out. in all honesty fallout 1 was one of the first great games to choose yuor own adventure not really covered as good until minecraft came out... i think that's why i feel last day deserve the holy right of being everything it can be.
I know what you mean, 1 was awesome, but what bothered me was the whole moving takes away action points thing, thats why i liked 2 way more. I had fun playing both.
But I like first person shooters a little more, thats why 3 is my favorite.
Just fought the Ender Dragon. I think it should be semi-biological, but with a LOT of robotic parts on it, melded together from scrap robotics, with the Ender Crystals being like AI cores, or maybe brains in suspension? So the whole thing is like a big collective of minds/programs. I like the brains, because then it would be like HIVE sent their brightest minds to this pocket dimension to keep them safe from the coming apocalypse, and there they have slept and built an army, sending out their robots and experiments to grab others and irradiate/augment them.
And yes, Fallout was a fantastic game. I still liked 3, as it was what got me into the whole genre in the first place.

that uses mutants... he was like mutant robot too, and the final epic boss, so i find it proper direction. always hard to meld the fantasy to sci-fi. do like the idea of brains, something a bit biological for the crystals themselves, and then a corrupted.
can't we make the end land like some irradiated area of orbiting moon surface, maybe that was the ultimate goal of the portal experiment that messed up the moon in the first place. ultimately the brains are defended, have created army of scout mutants, and when red dragons come maybe have something else to use as part of their story of "invade earth" (risk 2210 reference) so the chunk of land they were trying to get too originally in the story, is the part that blew off of the moon, and pretty much flipped the rest of it inside out.
then the ends justified by talking brains dialogue, unless we can get in there and change that too :biggrin.gif:
end blocks are white and almost moon enough. they look green cause of the ambient light, which works well for radiation, and the obsidian looking like ruins of some sort of facility.
the ender eyes sort of like magnetic orbs and the ender pearl blocks like super collider thingy, magnetic rings. (I got a thing for the magic of magnets. it makes a lot of sense in this world. how else does dirt fly...??? MAGNETS!)
anyways, working on the wiki still, lemme get a few basics down and the site format, before i publish the WIP.
We could take the end into an entirely new direction.
The end could be the part of the earth that was left. Make it nice and bright.Endermen are the creatures that are slowly destroying that part of the world and the Enderdragon is the creature that is guarding them while they are destroying.

Last Days, and here is The End. it's the final boss fight, why not go the fallout route and make the hive survivor the "
vault dweller" the man to stop it. it has a green glow already, so that will work for radiation, but that it's in the middle of nowhere, in almost every sense needs an explanation. if this ender world was the Skyworld like they originally planned, your idea's would work.

so, it gives a reason why one would want to go into the end to stop this. best story I can make up to cover this. Wish i could make the ender dragon something else, in all reality. but the crystals will work well as mainframe cores or brains at least.
i got different styles of grass, and even biome coloring for you :wink.gif: if you use the default terrain then the biome gradient will add some shade to it at least... realizing now that i don't have the green grass gradient up and available. well there is still green grass and what not for you sir. and an even MORE sickly sand one.
I also want to redo the GUI, the inventory and equipment GUI's should stay the same, i think the all the other GUI's should change according to the item. have a wood crate for the chest, have a metal one for the oven, and the dispenser, and such, personalize them a bit.
if I'm going to invest time in something i like to do it fully. the sounds and lore take time.

good point, hard to make sickly looking trees tho, there is the black and white foliage int eh customizer, and the colored gradient that gives a subtle shade of sickly to it all. from gray to brown. i thought that worked well, if not lemme know and I'll try to tweak it.

well, the thing is that computer (bookshelves) affect the enchanting. so having it as a robotic thingy is logical. that and it REPAIRS. it being random is the 'broken' element.
but it brings up a question of what should the experience orbs look like?
If this ever gets updated, you should do a RandomMobs compatibility. Even though you can do it yourself with the customizer.
well, i think the zombie mobs need a high def version of them and the high def of the raider isn't set for randommob, remind me after we got 1.0 done to make the randommob.

That is the problem apparently, on the customizer there's a high def ranger and all the rest are recolours but not HD.
It would look unnatural having a HD mob, right?
But I did the randommob support for this texture pack myself, excluding the spider eyes and HD ranger.
If you're going to replace all mobs to HD, and even the recoloured ones, then a possibility for RandomMob support is high. Or, you can just make a RandoMob support for SD mobs and another for HD mobs.
it's a 32x pack so to have sd is odd... might do it just a token thing for the randomob people to use without the pack i guess.

I like it, but the tires should be made of something else, use those blocks for like broken headlights. maybe obsidian for the tires. it would work to look like treads at least.
The End would be the Moon, which was destroyed. And the Moon that you see when it's night in the Overworld, is indeed a broken moon. So it does make a lot of sense.
But what makes no sense, is the experiments. Because, yeah, we all know we used to send animals like monkeys and dogs to the moon first, and now we use ourselves. But on Last Days, we use experiments? Doesn't make a point.
We should make the Enderman into aliens. And, I'm pretty sure a "The Thing" thing would go good, but I don't think it will go so good.
And the portal to the end is apparently "The Gateway" from that Gateway movie/series/episodes/whateverthatis

The Nether is supposed to be the lab that was transported to the inside of the moon, causing the destruction in the first place. If you follow what me and Price were discussing earlier, the End would be a sort of base, possibly situated on one of the orbiting chunks of the moon, where some sect of HIVE scientists have preserved a collective intelligence which is now trying to "rebuild" but has been corrupted.Also I notice no one has proposed any ideas for Silverfish suddenly. I wholeheartedly support radroaches.
The Nether is The Moon inside out after Orbital Industries tried to make a portal to it, The End is an Enderman base, Potions are Drugs, and Splash Potions are hand grenades.
