I've unpacked the sound mod and the Last Days sound pack, I open up minecraft.jar, I delete the META-INF, copy in the class file, and replace the resources folder, but then when I load up Minecraft I get a black screen. I've tried forcing an update and redoing it several times, so I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Maybe I have the wrong version of the sound mod?

probably. i think the SME is for 1.8 pre only now.... ... :s I WISH NOTCH WOULDN'T **** WITH THE SOUNDS SO MUCH. HIS CRAPPY SOUNDS ARE NOT THAT GOOD.

Personally I have been doing sound packs for games since starcraft, pre-brood wars. this is the first a game totally ****s over it's sound files,
EVEN AFTER IT'S DETECTED ALL OF THE SOUND FILES,
EVEN AFTER NO UPDATE HAS BEEN FORCED,
EVEN AFTER THE DEVELOPERS ALLOW THIRD PARTY-MODS!!!

Guess I'll just have to play with dumb pig noises for now.

A couple textures seem to be missing, like gold and all the brick things.

So you're the predecessor of a predecessor eh? Well, I will help you the best I can. Did you still keep my Night Vision or is it not working properly? I'll fix it if you want.

And the pack needs new pictures mind you. Buildings in the wasteland and highways and stuff.

I just had the same problem, read a couple posts up. You need the HD compatibility patcher, it's in the download section of the top post.

EDIT: There isn't a custom background for the main menu. At least I don't think. And the post above me is very correct.

just download the main texturepack and copy the furnace out of that one and put it in the custom one it's a nice easy fix :wink.gif:

1.9 out? Oh wow. I am already having ideas for the mobs.

Just gotta say that, after a little while with this texture pack, the atmosphere is fantastically spot-on. Caves and tunnels are so much more ominous and mysterious now when viewed as these huge, abandoned structures that society has quite literally been built on top of.

Also I definitely think the giant mushrooms should be organic, very bulbous and definitely alive.

This is a great texture pack. Probably the best I ever used. I was wondering, what do you think of Better Than Wolves? That mod seems to fit right in with this texture pack.

Apparently with the 1.9 (pre) release, endermen and silverfish just don't make sound at all anymore. Argh! The sounds for them are already made >_<;

The Blaze should definitely be like a Mister Gutsy. It's the perfect shape and behavior.

don't think that will really work, the thing about mooshrooms is they turn into normal cows when you shear their mushrooms off.
