Well, since you're gonna work on the sound pack, I'll reiterate my beef with it: The new spider sounds don't really sound electronic, it sounds more like they're making bubbles when they talk. Other than the new dying sound, they're just annoying and I end up replacing them with the ones from an older sound pack.
Other than that, just try and do something about those cave sounds >_>
I think the melon slices should be supplies from the supply box, just saiyin..
Nah, what's in the supply box, more food? If so, it all depends on what the supply box looks like, to let us know what would be stored inside it. Melon slices heal, right?
(@everyonegoingbackintoeducation, sux2bu)
Well, the supply box is a wooden crate with that has an open top with a few tools/bolts showing. I have a few ideas what it should be, but nothing definite. I'm thinking I'm going to just make it some sort of medical supplies, like a shot. I'm not sure how that would fill hunger, but it seems to be the most logical choice. I'm absolutely lost on what to make the raw/cooked chicken though.
also guys, Jeb released the new particles. also chests are animated so that the top opens. so just might want to be prepared for 2moro hopefully
Yeah, I've been messing with that, I got a couple parts of it finished. I saw that pic with the edited chest, but I don't think Notch has released what the .png for that :sad.gif: . And it turns out it got delayed to the 12th. I'm happy he delayed it, because now I have more time to prepare, but I'm sure that's bad news to everyone else.
I have moved again, **** I've been busy, and no internet yet. Hopefully in a week. I got an entire track of new original tracks for the sound pack and was going to redo some of them up. If anyone's got qualms with the old sound pack, or like anything in particular, let me know. Not going to change anything, just need to add to it for 1.8 coming out (that's when you'll see the changes)
also got a new pack almost done up, still working on a lot of details, but the terrain.png is done. Cyberpunk styles.
That sucks, moving requires so much work. I hope your new place is nice. I'm interested in the new sounds. The old soundpack was already awesome, I'm sure your newest version will be even better though!
And that's awesome news. Can I get a sneak peak? :wink.gif:
Hello, I was thinking, can I put the download of this texture pack on my topic? Because I made a map, and I have a custom
(That I chose what I wanted) and It would be nice to use it. Thanks.
Go ahead. Just be sure to give credit and don't use Adfly. No need to ask if you provide credit and its only linking here. Same thing with videos.
By the way, got some inspiration for my enderman mob. Just finished watching Pan's Labyrinth. I'm planning on making something like the thing in the following video, except more robotic and "test subjecty".

So any way of still making a hoverbot?
Also off topic a bit, On the skeleton could you add the gas mask?
Since the endermen like to move blocks around, they could be rogue terraforming bots that were reprogrammed by the bandits to detect eye contact and attack intruders.
apparently they spawn in strongholds and fortresses. stone brick can also be mossy or cracked, remember.
also, don't forget about the cave spiders! they're venemous blue ones, slightly smaller, that live in abandoned mineshafts.
and if you've seen the new lighting engine, you'll see that the stone and such gets brownish when it's darker. it's so cool. everything looks all rusty.

I like that idea. Although I think organic monsters are scarier. So I fused them together. I made it a drone (human machine). I've been trying to test what it looks like ingame, but the pre-release is really buggy and the endermen have weird lighting issues.

I think I've seen them before, but not in so much detail. Thank you for the links. I'm probably going to make them into cockroaches to match last days a little more.
I hadn't seen the cave spiders! I found them in the .jar and started to work on them, thanks for the tip. I think I'm going to make them older, broken down versions of the original.
I've been playing around with the pre-release so I have seen it, and I absolutely love it. It makes the game much moodier.
And that's hilarious, I wasn't sure what that was at first! :tongue.gif:
Ignore this, I solved the problem. I had no .minecraft folder and just transferred the ones I had on my old laptop, along with all my save files, to my new laptop and it just started updating and blah blah blah..
Yeah, I had that happen to me too. It took me a a long time to figure it out. :sad.gif: Glad to see you resolved it though!

Goddamnit, pumpkin stalks are automatically green. And grow out of the ground slowly. Any ideas on what to make the pumpkin/melon stalks? I have no idea what could be green and match the punkins/melons.

Hmmmm. well, if you wanted to get rid of the green, I'd say make the sprite mostly red and black. the BLACK would remain unaffected, the red would turn different shades of brown. if you want it to be a machine, that is. um. I'm kinda stumped otherwise. what was that little post thingy you were trying to put it as? a teleporter post? or something?
otherwise, in terms of green things, floaty green digital things. electricy, lazary, zappy things.
*thinks some more before posting, comes up with nothing good* dang, that's a hard one.

Well you could make a scrap metal generator, or radiated materials that grow.

Hmmm, you may not want to do that. they make the same sounds as spiders, so they'll be making robot sounds in last days! I think you could do so much more with them anyways, especially now we know what that layer of dots is for. I just messed around with a bunch in-game, it turns out they don't hurt you at all! they just push you. a lot. annoyingly. wriggly little bastards. They spawn from a block that looks just like normal stone, when it's destroyed, and if they happen to touch of one of those blocks, that will also break it, instantly. as I found out the hard way after making a huge mound of the stuff, then accidentally setting off a chain reaction. :biggrin.gif:
Depending on how much art someone would like to do, on all of the bowguns and the shotgun you could make it aiming down the sights, like move it to the point where the only top half to the gun is showing and raised a bit
Hey guys, first time poster long time player here, but I'm also somewhat new to the texture pack and modding scene, now I've gotten past the basics (no black screen for me lmao ) but I have two questions. Is there a way to fix the furnace GUI? and also how do you install a sound pack, and on the topic of sound packs, will it overwrite the original minecraft sounds? Or will there be a nice little menu option that allows me to pick which sound pack I want? Any insight on my predicament would be greatly appreciated. :smile.gif:

Hmm, I could try that. I could also use that too make it look less colorful if I do make it a plant. And the original one I made was supposed to be some sort of teleporter/beacon. But Unfortunately it didn't work the way I wanted it to.
I could do that too. I jut need to make it some sort of machine related thing if I want it to make any sense at all. The pumpkins and melons are both non organic, so I don't think a plant would work.
Well you could make a scrap metal generator, or radiated materials that grow.
Well, I would like to do that, but its automatically green, so I really cant make gray metallic stuff. I could try the technique NotBitstripsDoom recommended.

Dang. Are you sure those sounds aren't placeholders? I think it would way better if they had their own separate sounds. I don't think I can think of anything to make them if they keep the spider sounds. I'm going to test out a few ideas right now, but if those sounds aren't placeholders, I'm just going to have to make them mini robot things.
Anyways, I think its awesome that they pop out of stones. Its definitely going to scare the heck out of all of those miners out there! Hopefully they are really rare, because I don't want to get swarmed by them just because I accidentally let one out. :tongue.gif:

It already sort of does that. When you charge the bow, it zooms in a little and the bow rises up a little. I'll work on the shotgun tomorrow so that you can enjoy it in 1.8. :wink.gif:

Hey, welcome! The texture pack community is pretty awesome as I'm sure you will soon discover. Just start posting in some threads and you'll be a part of the community in no time. Anyways, back to business. What do you mean fix the furnace GUI? Whats wrong with it? And the sound pack will erase the old sounds, but you can easily get them back, simply by deleting one file.

I just noticed that if you use bonemeal on a normal mushroom, it grows into a giant one! so your platform thing might not work. :C
You might just have to make them normal, mutated giant mushrooms. oh well. it'll still be cool.
and I don't think the spider sounds are placeholders for silverfish, unfortunately, because it works well enough as it is. Endermen currently use zombie sounds, which is LAAAAME, and I'm hoping THAT'S a placeholder.

Warning, the video is disturbing.

I think HalphPrice made an alt like that, check the customizer. If not I'll do it. :wink.gif:
I don't think so. I like 32x too much and making it 64x would take a lot of time, which I don't have right now. Sorry!

Yeah, I've been playing around with it. It is amazing! I can't wait for the actual release so I can test some stuff without it being really buggy.
Here's the terrain.png so far:
Keep in mind this is all WIP.
Trees are still shacks because of the materials villages use. Normal bark looked very out of place. The shacks look better though.
Yeah, I had that happen to me too. It took me a a long time to figure it out. :sad.gif: Glad to see you resolved it though!

Well, I enjoy working on it! I would be interested in seeing that banner too. I'll add it to the OP when you upload it.
Thanks. I'll have to show this to HalphPrice because hes the soundpack guy. He should be getting his internet hooked up soon.
Thank you for the heads up. I sent him an email asking him to credit doku, History, and me. Hopefully that will resolve it.
