Sort of random, but I decided I needed to make a list of what will be in the 1.8, and I decided I might as well have keep it here. Everything here has been confirmed in a PAX video or tweet.

- Iron bars (maybe barbed wire)

- Better Server support
- Better lighting
- New Particles *maybe*
- Void is different
Well the defaults in the customizer.
With the bow mechanics, i noticed in the video from notch's phone that you see the string pull back, so i am thinking that for those that use the shotgun (like me) you could make the barrel lower like reloading a shot gun, like it goes down and then back up.

The Fence Gate, first mentioned on Get Satisfaction[1] then confirmed by Jeb on Twitter[2] will be one of the many new additions to Beta 1.8, also known as "The Adventure Update".
2 brown mushrooms on the left and that red one in the middle.
also note, that those are ravines, and that there will be rivers, in ravines, and even deep ravines that go down canyons, with pathways to walk along.
giant mushroom on the right, bet no one saw that before...
You are my hero man. That was entertaining to read and saved me so much time on the lore section. Thank you! Will you be doing more? I just want to know so I can start on what you wont be doing.
There probably will be. I'm just not sure what I want them to look like yet and I'm sort of busy with aether and the update.
I will, once I finish aether and maybe a few other mods.
I love that idea. I'll definitely have to add an alt like that later on.
Nice! The dull ones fit in with Last Days a little more, but the vivid ones are probably easier to differentiate from a distance. Unfortunately the customizer is screwed up for me at the moment, so it might be a day or two before anything is added.
----- Question!
Do you guys want actual trees in the next default version?
.
On the part addressed to me: Yes, I plan on continuing. I'm kinda counting on Halph for the Aether mod lore as I don't have the mod, but I can continue for the default stuff :biggrin.gif: But do continue yourself as well.
Well its possible that not every fallen is evil or fully changed, as some might just look bad but be nice
that is such a ****ing good idea. like necocpolis, in fallout, you can even have a zombie sidekick. they joke around and everything, only some 'ghouls' are 'feral'

Why thank you, the only thing is that they need to look friendlier than the regular fallen, more normal clothes and regular looking skin, or they could be really really pale like ghouls are.
Also if there are atleast 3 different types of villagers, so we could have:

just take that mean look off their faces. it would be the thing to make them almost the same, and find them and freak out, or better yet, get confused at who's good and bad in the middle of the night.
it adds more fear to the game if you can barely tell which is which.
On a side note: for my campagin map, do i need permission to switch textures of blocks for example diamond block and cyan wool? because i love the look of diamond but i dont want people just taking it from the floor in the beginning.

You could specify the rules of: No mining x blocks
You could specify the rules of: No mining x blocks
Most people follow those rules I'm sure.
Eh yeah, i know i can do that, but i am making people use this texture pack because i am making to promote last days, dont want some noob going "eeuuhhhh duuhhhhhh whut is dis blok eeuuuuhhhh duuuuuhhhhh i haz dymond duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh"

Awesome. I'm counting on Halph to do that too. I think it would be better if he finished what he started for the sake of consistency. Anyways, I'll keep writing too. When its all done we will have a pretty awesome lore page.
Well, we now know that regular pigmen will have to be human villagers in LD :biggrin.gif:
I agree. We will finally have fellow survivors! Hopefully there's a going to be a couple different skins, so we don't have a bunch of clones walking around. Although using a man with a beard should be fine, since it hides their facial features.
The default ones right? Or do you mean HalphPrice's trees?

Well really its a CTM/survival/adventure in one.
The goal is to add a single player story mode to minecraft using last days
Thanks! I just updated the list with your info.

Well, I think using the scientist skin for the villagers might look a little strange or did you mean something else?
