Ok first and foremost I'm not a texture maker but I can be good at copying and pasting textures plus I know how to fiddle with texture pack's color tone (hue, saturation, lightness and things like that)
Ok now the terrain.png:
BTW I took the cacti and raw ores plus trees from DokuCraft Dark that's pretty much all I changed.. *shivers* uh I hope Doku is okay with that. I think I left wheat unchanged. :dry.gif:
EDIT: Oh and I changed smoothstone to cobblestone and smoothstone to something that makes caves look caves.. that texture is also from Dokucraft dark. *shivers*
liked the idea, and tried it out, just the half slabs of cobble and smooth are the same, need to make the smooth stone half slabs the same rough rock look. it is ingenious though. switching it around, love it!
This is great. Loving the weirdness of the trees, and while I haven't done any natural caves yet, I love the way digging and looking for ores works. You're going through metal remains and occasionally you find supplies! It really makes you feel like you know the story, even though I don't. And the spider sounds are disturbing, creepy, and annoying. This robotic female voice using a sexualized tone with valley girl catchphrases... gahhhh. So creepy.
I'd like to know the story you say goes along with it. A quick peek at kz.png makes me *really* want to read that text file.
A couple of things: The birch leaves are green for some reason, don't know if that's intentional or not. The golden sword, once you've got your own texture for it, should try to make sense being held by the pig zombies. Some of the background music is really jarring--minecraft plays those sound files like it expects them to be subtle. And the ghast noises blur into each other in the nether, making it incredibly loud the whole time you're in there.

Erm... hey Croco, on the old thread I posted that new sandstone top that matched the sides. Are you trying for that broken tarmac look? Cause if so, great. Just try to make it match the sides better.
We might as well be next-door neighbors. I live about an hour away from Minneapolis and looking at a map I found we're right next to each other. Also I like some of the new stuff you've already added and the fact that you actually work much more faster on the texture pack.
Well that's a coincidence! Anyways, I will keep constantly updating it, chances are there will be new stuff every week, or maybe even more often. :wink.gif:
That looks pretty nice, I think I will try combining the this armor and the old and see what happens! I will also try upgrading the armor and mobs so they are a little higher quality.

It is supposed to look like broken tarmac. I just haven't had time to update the sides/bottom. I'll try doing when I get a chance.
And HalphPrice, I think I'll just add that to the OP so people can use it, and I'll just test it when I can.
Hi everyone, don't want to be a bother or take over the thread, but I just want to contribute my sandstone texture.
Just if Croco is too tired... :tongue.gif:
Props to the original creator of the tex. It's free to edit.
Doku doesn't allow his dokucraft textures to be redistributed. :ohmy.gif:
well then this doku guy sounds like an ass
also, hi croc im from Fargo lolz.
I LOVE THIS PACK!!!! but i think it would be better if you switched the textures for Cobblestone and naturally occuring Stone around, because i'd really like to use that metal texture for building but it only occurs naturally :sad.gif:
i also think the trees are kind of weird, but i cant make up my mind if its in a good way or a bad way. :tongue.gif: and the torches, its kind of unfortunate about the height issue.
my favorite texture is the sandstone. oh and the meat looks horrible horrible horrible, in a good way. and it was clever what you did with the coal and chickens :smile.gif: id like to see this pack progress even more its wonderful

If it weren't for Doku, this texture pack wouldn't exist in the first place. :wink.gif:
Hey I added a little something to the Inventory screen. I saw it in the top right of the items.png, and I think the original creator wanted it in the armor slots because I saw it on another texture pack, so for anyone who wants it, feel free.

IMO I'd like to see minecraft support item renaming, so cacti can be replaced with the barrels but also be called barrels in the menu
It's really easy to rename items and blocks. Go into the minecraft.jar and open the lang folder. Then open en_us.lang with some sort of text editing program. Find the ones you want to rename, and rename them! Don't forget to back up your en_us.lang and save it when you finish editing!

That looks very cool! I'll try messing around with it, so that I can get smoother transitions on the sandstone.

That's a good idea. I think I'll put that in there, but make it look like part of the display. :wink.gif:

This will help out a lot when I'm messing with it. Thank you for the info Chisoph!
Croco i have a request. Could you make the diamond sword to something else then a stupid sword?
Because i'ts pretty unrealistic going all diamond sword. Something that might fit the theme more.
Oh and the second thing is. could you make the crossbow to a zip gun?

FALLOUT INSPIRE MINECRAFT TEXTURE PACK

That just happens for a few seconds every time I update the file. You just had really bad timing! :tongue.gif: Try it again, it should work.

Are you planning on changing the breaking animation? I don't wanna be reminded of Gerudoku when I use this pack.
I wish I was in this :C

This should be implemented..
Because it just looks better!
Tis true.

Yes I am, I'll try changing it in the next version. I could just use the CroCraft one as a placeholder since people seem to like it.
I think I'll do that!
