There now seem to be several pirated copies of my pack floating around on the internet. The posters did not ask my permission, nor do they give me credit.
The ONLY places I have posted Lost Valley include minecraftforums.net and minecraftplanet.com. IF YOU SEE MY PACK ANYPLACE ELSE, IT IS BEING HOSTED ILLEGALLY!
THESE PEOPLE ARE TRYING TO MAKE MONEY OFF MY ARTWORK! DO NOT SUPPORT THEM BY DOWNLOADING FROM THEIR SITES!

Thank you.
Can't you sue them for that? Actually all you need to do is send a cease and desist letter/email and if they keep doing it, then you can legally sue them. Sort of like when people pirate games. If they get one of those and keep downloading the game, they get fined, a lot.
I don't think you will have to sue them though. Usually those letters scare people shitless and they stop right away. :tongue.gif:
But yeah, that is ********. I HATE HATE HATE people that do that. Good luck taking them down.
Added the rest of the weapons; added soul sand (a crappy, probably soon-to-be-changed version of quicksand); added alternate glowstone; revamped GUI. I also started working on some alternate textures that better fit the 'explorer' theme-- sorry, Croco, I wanted to wait until I had more stuff (and a more 'native' GUI) before putting up a separate pack to download.
OK. I have just been making my adventure and the nether is a BIG part. if you could change the soul sand to what it sort of was, sand with people in to and if you could make glowstone more natural. I know I'm one person wanting something to change but I would greatly appreciate it.
P.S love the weapons.
This texture pack is nice I like how it's kind of medieval style it would look cooler if the dirt was a little dark in tone just in my opinion might make it a little cooler sorry if that bit sounded mean I really didn't mean it I'm meaning it as a little help I really like this texture pack I saw the first video and I really liked the texture pack and how it's positioned and I would like to see it when it's fully complete :smile.gif:
Wow! Someone who likes my stuff better than Glimmar's! Thanks a lot!
Awe! Now I'm sad. :sad.gif:
This is a great pack though steelfeathers, so I don't mind really [sniffle!] and I'll join the rest in encouraging you to persevere. :smile.gif:
It's just nice to see another 'theme' pack that's different than the usual run of mixpacks. Don't lose heart...though it is a common affliction of the creative. Whenever you feel things aren't going quite right, step back from the texturing and just build for a while...the ideas start flowing again and you'll see solutions instead of problems. Don't feel pressured to rush things because of the usual 'I want it now' crowd. As flattering as comments like that are, they don't help you do things to your satisfaction.
There's a lot to love about this pack, but your leopard skin wool is just a stroke of genius and made me smile a lot today. :smile.gif:
Following on the Aztecy/Explorer theme, the nether might be seen as a vast undertemple complex where the skulls and bones of it's sacrificial victims are laid to rest (slow sand?), amidst which glowing aztec crystal skulls hang from the ceiling(glow stones?):
...and the netherrack could be an alternate temple stone for users to mine and exploit on the surface.
Could I also suggest the minetrack would look awesome if it looked more rickety and kind of like a disused wild west gold mine railtrack...so the sleepers spaced out a little more (sounds like me! :biggrin.gif:) :
However, my little ideas are for taking or leaving, but I love the way it's going and the title of 'Lost Valley' has a really good feel about it and I couldn't help reminiscing about the Indiana Jones movies, etc. so forgive me for overfilling your thread.
By the way, your cobble is absolutely fantastic and works amazingly well combined with your mossy variety. Feels perfect as a temple building block and also as a road/path surface and you've succeeded in an area that not many even come close to succeeding at in my humble opinion.
I shall keep popping back 'cos I like the theme and your original way of approaching things. Also having Croco helping out makes it even better! :biggrin.gif:
I played this while on the Super Hostile Canopy map....FRICKING AMAZING! Great job man, I love the deep colors and it may or may not replace doku for my standard pack right now...(sorry doku) I would love to see what the mobs will look like when you're done. Keep it up!

There is a more natural glowstone included as an alternate-- just open up the terrain png and switch the two.
I'm probably going to work on improving the soulsand to make it look more like quicksand, but it won't have faces in it. The bedrock, however, is a different story....

YAY! The god of all things texturepack has deigned to comment on my humble art once again! Whoot!
I've always been inspired by your work-- I actually go and stare at your textures when I need guidance on how to shade things and make them look realistic. XD
That said, your ideas for the nether are all really awesome... but then I thought of all the explorer stations that would have glowing skull lamps out front, and realized that a skull nether texture would probably work better as an alternate. And I'm saving the 'pile of bones' for the bedrock texture. :smile.gif:
But you do raise a good point about the rails. I'll probably go back and make them look more like the wild west pic-- their 'clean-ness' has been bothering me for a while. :tongue.gif:
Love the new weapons! They work very well. My only suggestion would be to flip the dagger so that it stabs rather than slash. I think that would make it feel more daggerlike. I'm excited to see the new items! :smile.gif:

Thanks!
I tried flipping the dagger, but the motion made when hitting doesn't become a stabbing motion-- it just looks like you're whacking them with the hilt. lol
EDIT: I am a fool. I was flipping it the wrong way. Duh. The dagger has now been properly flipped to produce a stabbing motion
Also: Your lovely gui screens will be included in the next update. Never fear, I haven't forgotten about you!

Another Super Hostile fan! Well met, good sir. I'm actually quite fond of using this texture pack for adventure maps myself. Everything else just felt too...happy. Not dangerous and mysterious enough.
