I created this pack primarily for my use; but since I have been supporting it in order to keep up with updates I've decided to finally release it. It just updates the terrain.png and terrain folder, I haven't done items or mobs (though I might decide to with some prodding).
If you'd like to see more of my work, click the link in my signature. There are some more (and will be even more - I only ever use my pack and I'm planning on posting more pictures) pictures of the pack, and I'm working on a tutorial for how to make your own texture pack from start to finish.
This looks pretty decent, actually. The smooth stone and obsidian look a lot like some of the wavy sand textures I've seen, though. Maybe break the lines up a bit, make it a little rougher? And the obsidian... Too light a purple.
But I'm loving the cobble and chests/doors. Are these all your own work?

It's difficult to do many of the smooth/large area textures on account of their nature being just.... smooth. There's only so many ways to do noise, and that's how Stone/Obsidian/Grass/etc. ended up. The colors I picked specifically lighter to help with visibility, I have a really dark monitor.
All of this is 100% my own work, with the exception of blocks left stock (beds, redstone delayers) because I think they look fine and block left stock (bushes and grass) because I've never seen them in-game to know what they should look like. I may have taken inspiration from any number of people, but the pixels are mine and I worked over the default. Don't know if I said it or not, but my favorite blocks are the TNT POW canister and the Ghast-egg glowstone :biggrin.gif:
I'm also working on a pretty detailed tutorial on how to make your own texture packs at the link in my sig - I've got 1 part up, 1 part written, and pics taken for another part. Not exactly sure how many parts it'll end up being, but so far I've covered how to get the files you need out of MC, how to use the basic tools in GIMP, and will be covering how to make a properly mapped texture. I'm planning to also show how to make objects/skins, and how to upload/distribute your packs as well. I'll make a post about that on this forum when it's all up though.
