-Note to everyone entering... I'm in the middle of a major overhaul of my thread and how my pack can be downloaded... please be patient as this may take a while... if you want to download... I got it all on PMC right now ready and waiting for you! Thanks for taking the time to look!-
Chromatose is the result of various experiments with color theory and developing game graphics using Minecraft as a vehicle. I also got tired of seeing the ugly 'coder' graphics that came with the game originally. I also got highly involved in this because I've found playing Minecraft to me is like developing a zen garden, you take a lot of time developing structures of intrigue and that's what I hope this pack can do is help make those wonderful structures look that much better.
If you download this pack, you may -
Use this pack in any video even with monetization. If you do monetize you MUST include a link to this thread or the one on PlanetMinecraft.
Use parts of this pack in any PRIVATE remix packs... you CANNOT and I repeat CANNOT redistribute the remix in ANY way.
Use any of the CTM coding to reference ways of making a pack yourself.
You also are restricted from doing the following -
You are not allowed to redistribute any piece of this pack AT ALL except for the CTM Coding that I have described above.
You are not allowed to take any asset and claim it as your own.
If there are any questions, please write me either in this thread or via pm I'll be glad to clear up any issues.
These are galleries that I've gotten set up through Imgur to showcase Chromatose as best I can!
This is a gallery of all the blocks based on Kab's Texture Showcase
This is a gallery of awesome builds and stuff that's been sent to me from players enjoying my pack! Feel free to send me your images and I'll gladly toss them in here!
I'd like to thank CrochetKim and BlackCosmos567 for some of these pics! Also I've included some of my own...
This gallery will showcase the natural form of Minecraft under Chromatose
Also some Youtube Videos that I've either found or asked for. If you guys want to put up vids on Youtube, please let me know! I'd be happy to post them here!
There are two types of [Base] packs... one is -Stable- and the other is Experimental, the experimental one is always changing but might have something messed up in it. It's pretty much what I use through dropbox to go between my drawing laptop and my PC. The stable one goes through CurseForge, you can also get the archival packs for the 1.5(backwards compatable) and 1.6. These are no longer updated though.
These links go through Adfoc.us to help me produce a small fund that I use to help my house a bit, it's not much but helps with groceries every once in a while
These links are direct links that do not use Adfoc.us but you still go through goo.gl, this way I can see how many downloads I got with them.
I've set things up with the pack to work as a stand alone pack with add-on packs for either MCPatcher or Optifine. The reason behind this is because I've tried out my pack with Optifine and found that there are several new things with CTM that aren't available either because they've not been updated within Optifine or what have you. So I've set out to work an add-on pack that will make it so people who work with Optifine aren't burned but rather enhanced.
So here's what you'll need to do!
You just take the base pack and the add-on that coresponds to the mod you're using either MCPatcher or Optifine.
Put that in your .minecraft/resourcepacks folder.
Go into Minecraft, hit the Resource Packs Button, and put the Base Pack on the bottom of the list with the MCPatcher or Optifine over it.
If done right everything will be working fine.
I don't mind anyone taking the time to share my pack around, in fact I wholly support people spreading the word!
If you want to put a banner in your sig you can with this little snippet of code
Thank you very much for the enthusiastic comments! After I get the 'basic gist of it' I'll go through and refine the paintings to make better blending of the textures. I have a few personal gripes of my own but I find the sentements quite refreshing.
Sponges, Netherrack, Soulsand, Glowstone and Pumkins! Fresh from the canvas.
I'm now off to deal some doors, spark some torches and trim some leaves.
Please be sure to come back and tell me what you think. I want this to be a decent pack for everyone to enjoy!
(edit, just noticed that I accidentally put a grass tile on the sugarcane with the 64, I was using it to try to keep everything in line I'll have that corrected on the next update...)
I took a look at it. This is just my opinion, but I think it looks really sloppy and poorly thought out. The dirt and cobblestone are awful, and not everything seems to tile properly.
Put more work into it and try cleaning up the designs a bit.
(but then again, I'm one of those people who prefer a Dokucraft/Johnsmith kind of look, so go figure)

The triangles ruined it for me...that and the church for Satan.
I see. Thank you very much for the critisism... I do realise that there are some issues with the tiling, I have been working hard at correcting it as well as completing the basic sketch of the whole. In fact I had just realized there is some issues with my new torches. A few pixels got dropped as the original drawings got reduced.
What specifically do you not care for in the dirt? I was hoping it would be recieved as a more 'rounded off' effect, where most steep hillsides would have clumps of grass. If not, I would like your input as to how I would be best to draw it out.
Although I haven't checked out Dokucraft or Johnsmith, I will check them out.
Updated with new flowers, shrooms, ladders and some major refinements to the dirt block itself (for x64). I'm now off to sketch out the minetracks, sapplings, and pine leaves. I'll also work on refining the other textures some more!
I sincerly hope that I am at least working in a positive direction, I have recreated the Cobblestone, (I'll soon create a new Mossy CS after correcting the cobble). I will soon recreate the wood toward a wood floor appearance, something in the range of oak or mahogany.
I have also worked on creating new Repeater which I hope are easier to see that they are working especially at distance, I also got the Sugarcane, and beds done. I'll probably end up making variations of the Bed in whatever colors and designs.
The x16 will probably be completely revamped. I see the complexities of painting on a set grid of 64 spaces, the difficulty of creating realistic form and detail is lost and I must learn how to best represent the objects with as little to scribe with.
If anyone has any ideas, suggestions, or reference you'd like to give towards improvements for this pack I would be happy to hear. I want to set up different options as to cater to what anyone would like.
I am also setting up a direct link.
I will also get detailed pictures of each object. I'm also using these to show myself where I need to work on tiling issues and correct colors.
